In 1921, Tottenham Hotspur became the first British team to win a major European trophy when they defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers in the final of the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup. The victory made Spurs only the second team (after Rangers) to win a European trophy.

In 1960-61, Tottenham Hotspur became only the third team in English football history to achieve the “double” of winning both the league title and the FA Cup in the same season. Spurs accomplished this feat by defeating Leicester City 2-0 in the FA Cup final.

In 1982, Tottenham Hotspur reached their first ever European Cup final when they faced off against Anderlecht in Brussels. Unfortunately, Spurs would lose 1-0 after extra time, but their run to the final is still considered one of their greatest achievements.

In 2010-11, Tottenham Hotspur qualified for the UEFA Champions League for only the second time in their history. They would go on to reach the quarter-finals of the competition before being narrowly defeated by Real Madrid 3-1 on aggregate.
