Harry Kane: Loyalty should be commended not vilified

Let's talk about Harry

Throughout the modern history of football, loyal players have always been worshipped by their own fanbases. Some were even respected by other fanbases such as the great Francesco Totti who chose to spend his entire career at AS Roma. He had numerous opportunities to leave for a greater chance of regular silverware but he opted not to. Kane has a similar conundrum, year after year he is linked with moves away. Each time thus far he has opted to remain as the leader of his beloved Tottenham Hotspur side.

Kane is already one of the world’s best at Tottenham

Rival fans have often claimed he lacks ambition and is remaining in his comfort zone at Spurs. However, team trophies are far from the sole indicator of success in football. Kane’s determination to lead his side to success rather than join a star-studded team elsewhere should be respected, not vilified. The narrative could be reframed as; Why would Kane wish to leave a club where he has achieved so much individual success? He has won numerous golden boot awards and is consistently one of the league’s and Europe’s leading forwards each season.

Some football fans see team accolades as a vital requirement to leave a lasting legacy in the game following retirement. However, Kane has certainly not failed to make a significant impact on the Premier League. He is approaching the all-time record figure for goalscoring in the league and will surely overtake Alan Shearer in the coming seasons.

Regardless of the environment surrounding Kane, there are always bound to be goals when he is on the pitch. SBP’s sports betting service, for example, offers expert football tips on goal-line markets in the Premier League. Peter is their expert when it comes to Asian goal-line bets and he averages a profitable return of 16 units per month. He utilises statistics and research into certain teams and players to offer informed tips on the Premier League amongst many other leading competitions. For example, whenever Kane is involved, there is a strong chance he alone will provide numerous goals.

Kane is no stranger to implicating the scoresheet multiple times in a contest – Kane has recorded eight Premier League hattricks in his career so far. The England captain is also an excellent playmaker and often provides goals for his teammates with his excellent passing ability.

Kane thrives on being the star man

Kane has always been the key man on the pitch for the Spurs. Both in terms of quality and leadership he often leads the way for the North London side. The forward dictates the overall play despite operating in the frontline. Spurs’ creativity mainly comes from wide areas leaving Kane with the freedom to drop into midfield and create. He has evolved to also be an excellent creative player. At another top European club, he would perhaps not be provided with the same conditions to make the most of his abilities.

Overall, Kane is adored by the Spurs fanbase and playing for the club certainly does not hold him back from being at the level of one of Europe’s leading players. Potential silverware at Tottenham would hold much greater weight than leaving the club to become one of a number of stars elsewhere. Loyalty should be praised in the modern game, not criticised.
