Harry Kane Makes History in Debut Season in Germany

Tottenham legend Harry Kane opted to take on a new challenge last summer when he moved to Bayern Munich for a Bundesliga record of £86.4 million. Although it was a big loss, he left North London with good wishes from Tottenham fans.

Kane has now scored more goals on their debut season in the German league than any other player in Bundesliga history. He broke that record when he scored his 31st goal of the campaign against Darmstadt 98.

League Gone But Still Chance of Silverware This Season

Unfortunately for Kane, Bayern Munich have failed in their bid to win the league title this season, as that honour has gone to Bayer Leverkusen. They are still in contention for a major trophy though, as they remain in Europe. Bayern are 5/2 for those betting on football to win the Champions League.

Kane a Big Player for England This Summer

England boss Gareth Southgate will be hoping the former Spurs striker carries his form into the European Championship this summer. The Three Lions begin the tournament as the favourites to lift the trophy.

The 2018 World Cup Golden Boot winner will be desperate to help his country take that next step towards winning a major tournament. Kane has scored 62 goals in 89 appearances for England. He will be bidding to become the first Three Lions captain since Bobby Moore to lead his country to tournament success.

A Return to Spurs One Day?

Although Kane is flourishing in this latest challenge in his career, a return to Spurs one day cannot be ruled out. He scored 213 Premier League goals, and he needs just 48 goals to break Alan Shearer’s record in the league.

Tottenham will always feel like home for the 30-year-old. He spent 19 years at the club, scoring 280 goals in 435 appearances. He was linked with a move to Manchester City are various points of his time in England, but he felt like a switch to Germany was the best thing for his career.
