I'm not usually of the doom & gloom crowd here regarding Levy or our form (I guess growing up with the 90's spurs makes me feel like it could always be worse). But signing Zaha is definitely a step backwards. another fast townsendish player with the occasional good pass and pace to cover is otherwise lacking play.

If you started with Rose, Verts, Toby, Walker, Dier, Wanyama, Eriksens, Lamela, Alli and Kane.....

... You'd still have Son, Wimmer, Dembele, Tripper, Davies and Janssen (plus Mason and N'jie until we hear different) all looking to get in the squad - and that's before taking into account the younger lads that Poch wants to use.
We have very few attacking options who can change a game. Dembele won't be on the bench once back. Wanyama or Dier likely to get on it. Strong defensively from the bench, limited on the offensive side. And Son... will he be here? Wasn't even trusted to get on the pitch against Liverpool. As for the younger players, thus far Poch only trusted them to come on at the very end. The bench we've seen these past three matches was weak from an offensive viewpoint.

I rated funny because there wasn't an option for "Fuck My Life"... :pochwtf:

Honestly, the Isco link was probably planted by Sky Sports to build excitement for National Jim White Day.

I feel like we need a direct runner, someone with pace who can carry the ball and get defenders running backwards towards goal - maybe N'koudou can bring that, but he's an unknown quantity.

Sissoko had a decent Euro's and has that explosive power/ pace but it's a big risk given his reputation for laziness; he can look seriously disinterested at times.

Similar can be said of Zaha - bit of a one trick pony whenever I've seen him, in the same vein as Andros.

If Poch really feels he can get something out of either of these players I'm all for it - I just hope it's not Levy's way of rushing around at the last minute with square pegs for round holes etc.

To be clear I am not overly excited about Zaha but it is pretty clear we need some attacking options to add to the squad. He is very talented but hasn't hit the heights many expected. I would rather overpay for him though then be left with kids on the bench to be asked to change a game when needed.

I just.. I have to share this piece of AMAZING "ITK".

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
So when no one but N'can-do signs, that's the "one done" (although he was already photographed in a Spurs shirt)
And if N'can-do + one more signs, it still fits this description.

Either way that cunt can fit this piece of "ITK" into a situation where we sign anything from 0-3 players. Hate them. And those idiots at SC swallow it whole.

He / she could easily claim that Velasco kid as the 'one done' as well...

That's the manager's choice though.

We either let him get on with it, do it his way, or we have an interfering chairman. If Poch wants to use Winks over Son, or Onomah, it's his choice to make.

He also wants a Zaha, so we should let him get one

My exact reaction when this popped up...

That is THE most Americanist man doing THE most AMERICANISH expression!
"Hey everyone (look at me, no look at me... I'm even standing up so you can look at me and listen to my opinion!)
So here it is, my two cents worth: so like, I mean... hey, what's wit dis guy? Like woah... I could do so much better... he's a douchbag

.. Am I right you guys sat around me...? Chya-haa!"

I also never understand the outrage some supporters have with high fees the club pays. It is not like we are accountants who balance the books. Like buying Zaha at 15m is ok but 24m is too much? The self satisfaction of knowing we didn't overpay exceeds adding a useful squad option? I don't get it

Give the guy a break. He survived the Columbine massacre.

Well it just seems odd when we had options a month ago which would have cost less. Even Zaha would have been 13 million a month ago.

But someone has to. It's why we didn't get £25m for Yedlin - he's not worth it.

Anyway, outrage is a bit strong.

I get it, trust me Zaha isn't at the top of my wish list. We have left it so late, we will have to overpay. My point more being it is the clubs money but some supporters act as if they are ponying up the extra 5 million out of their own pockets.

The club obviously is in very good hands financially, I get no satisfaction when we have a negative or equal net spend I would rather get a player in that could help us on the pitch. Levy seems to have brainwashed some.
