Transfers Summer 2016 Transfer Window Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Son don't think he's good enough for a side hoping to finish at least in the top 4 bit disappointed he isn't being moved on especially for the money quoted.

Sissosko I really hope we aren't interested sat in the Newcastle end last game of last season they hated him, so much ability but just didn't give a fuck, not the player we should be looking at had enough of them over the years - great ability poor attitude no thanks

Isco if only

It's happening

Possibly, if we were looking for either a candidate for Charles Xavier looky-likey, or we were interested in a Dirty-Sanchez (TV programme....behave) style "Smash balls at the cripple in nets" challenge.

Dirty Sanchez, superb that was at its peak, great callback - Wilshire can be a full time Pancho just getting maimed in training

We qualify for the CL once every 8 years mate and last season was the 1st time in our prem history that we have challenged or come anywhere close to challenging the league. We don't win anything as a club and considering the size of it, we should be expecting a lot better than 1 league cup every 20 years. Some Spurs fans are just resigned to become failures all our life and happy to just plod along taking 1 step forward then 2 steps back the season after. It's been abysmal this transfer window including the ridiculous Nkoudou transfer that STILL hasn't been concluded. Our sub bench has been a joke this last few weeks and we are no closer to rectifying it either. If anyone thinks the likes of Onamah and Winks are options for the CL then you seriously need your head tested
And how do u think clubs like Aston Villa and Everton feel? Clubs that would consider themselves in the same "size" bracket as us. People on here think it's just as simple as splashing the cash with no regard for where that money comes from or what expenses outside of transfer fees are required to just keep us where we are.

Bottom line is we don't generate the revenue that the likes of city Utd Chelsea Woolwich Liverpool do hence we can't pay the wages and fees they do.

Every window people point at a few mid their clubs like Stoke splashing a bit if money but funnily enough never retrospectively come back on to say "oh yeah, that didn't actually get them anywhere".

I want to win things and I want to see Spurs competing at the very top level every year but realistically our best chance of doing that in a sustainable was is this new stadium OR a buy out of a man city proportion. Right now I'm willing to see what happens once we have the stadium in place. If then we still don't start competing more financially then I might join the Levy out brigade.

For now it's frustrating but ultimately I can see why we are run like we are.

Have hardly posted in this thread. Prefer to just read. I do think those with the gall to question or criticise the club for our transfer activity are on a hiding to nothing at times with the "Trust Poch" sentiment. From my pov as it stands right now a lot of what Tottenham Massive Tottenham Massive has been saying isn't far off the mark.

I have no problems giving youth academy players opportunities but I don't think we've strengthened the depth underneath the First XI sufficiently. I think we're somewhat standing still whilst other clubs, most of which finished below us last season have strengthened far more than we have.
