i've always said i would target 1 player for the starting eleven (which i'm still saying) and you stated you didn't think the starting eleven can be strengthend so we should focus on adding squad players and nothing else.

My idea is buying 2 or 3 squad players to replace Wimmer, Njie and possibly Nkoudou or Onomah, and give us solid options for competing on all fronts, and allowing for strong rotation.

Just promote Trippier in my opinion and use Walker-Peters as his understudy.
If we get 60M for Walker, Id actually use that money to bump up the others wages......let Kyle stew in the irony of that

First, who says that's what we're spending? Secondly, who says that's who we're buying? Thirdly, neither of that is relevant. Your claim was that Poch stated we needed to "spend big" to win titles. I am asking you to back that up and it seems you can't.

That's a lie, one that you, John Thomas and others keep repeating. Nobody has been against spending. What was challenged was this idea that we need to throw money around early in the window, pay huge wages and that if we didn't do so the heavens were falling and Levy was a curse. I, for one, have made the case throughout that improving our squad is not easy, must be methodical and must be within our means. You and your ilk weren't satisfied with that. You screamed hell because we hadn't signed half the footballing world by the end of June. John Thomas, for instance, whined and whined yet couldn't tell me what would be enough for him despite me asking him no less than five times. Now you and your ilk behave thoroughly disingenuously by pretending you've only ever been about making signings (no doubt because the doom you predicted has been shown today to be not quite the disaster you thought). No, you are impatient children for whom nothing was and is enough.
What makes you think we are buying four players with £100m? The new keeper certainly isn't a £25m player for instance. He also said a week or so ago that we were looking at either 2 or 3 players. Now it is four?
Furthermore, and this is getting painful, your claim was he said we needed to "spend big". He hasn't said that. You are now putting words in his mouth and, as usual, using your own confirmation bias to put a spin on what he actually has said. It really is rather pathetic.
You also said signing squad cover was a defeatist view, so in itself thats contradictory, but I will accept that maybe Ive picked you up wrong and we dont need to go over it again
