"Slander? Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Get over yourself. What ya gonna do, sue me? You wouldn't get very far."

no that is just the definition of what you are doing, lying about us to discredit us.

"If you think there is no opposition, why is this thread chock full of opposition? Is there some sort of conspiracy at this board that I am unaware of?"

never said there is no opposition, but this forum is the only one that gives us majority negative feedback and we try to take that feedback on board and learn from it.

"Are you telling me you have no intention of interviewing fans after home games? That this channel will only ever be you two babbling away? I'm not sure I believe you. You're already going for celeb interviews and trying to interview opposition fans."

I am telling you that it is My grandpa, my brother and I, we have no intention of starting fan cams. I don't see whats wrong with having a chat with opposition fans as it gets their perspective. We had the opportunity to Interview Gary Lineker, Les Ferdinand and Micky Hazard, it was a dream come true to meet these guys and hope there is more of those to come.
Right, so you're going to interview celebs and opposition fans. But the rest will be just you two (and sometimes grandpa) sitting in a car and the stands before, during and after the games? Does this mean you'll be cool with getting low clicks?

Why have people got a problem with this, if you don't like it don't watch it.

I won't be watching it because it's not something i'm into, but fair play to them if they can get this off the ground. At least they're getting off their arses and doing something constructive with their time, around the club they love rather than coming on here and fucking moaning all the time.

Good luck lads, hope it goes well.

and to your last line, i have no problem with criticism or opposition to the channel and i get some people don't want a Spurs fan channel, but some people arn't as lucky as me or a lot of people on this forum to go see Spurs on a regular basis or even at all. so people like to see the atmosphere in ground, fans reactions to goals going in and opinion on the game as they couldn't be there.

I don't get to go to many games these days but I promise you that my first thought is certaintly not to hunt out youtube videos of a couple of knobjockeys celebrating goals!!

If I am lucky enough to get to a game I also don't want those same knobjockeys filming me.

You have been told by the fanbase on here and in a poll (which for some reason you choose to ignore) that this shit is not wanted and is an embarrassment to the club and fans.

You asked for opinion.
Didn't like what you got so ignored it.

You and your ilk are a disgrace.

What exactly is constructive about filming yourselves watching a game??

And for the record i will always commend people for being pro-active and supporting the club constructively.

However its important to understand why fan channels have a poor reputation amongst certain supporters. It's not always as innocent as you would like to believe.

Because they're doing something they enjoy doing and if it leads on to bigger and better things then great.

Too many people putting folk down, fucking hate this negativity in this country. So what they might be shit, but what if they do improve and it leads to a career for one or both of them.

Just my view and not aimed at you personally, i just like to see people having a go at doing things, being creative.

I don't think mediocrity should be encouraged.
I'd also argue filming yourself isn't exactly creative.

We are ok with how it is going at the moment, we will see where it goes. But we are not going to do Fan cams!

There is a difference between being creative and making shit which just makes people cringe!

We'll see. I suppose it really will be the test. If you genuinely do it just for the love of the club then the content will always be tame. The second you start interviewing other fans or become gobby opinionated types like, for instance, Arse TV's "DT" is on his channel, we'll know it's about the clicks. But the fact that you immediately didn't turn around and say "I don't care how many clicks we get per video" has me thinking it's not just about the love of the club for you guys...and that's why I remain wary.

Yeah mate I'm all for people being creative and going and doing things for yourselves, but im sorry there is absolutely nothing creative or original about filming yourself watching a game, its a horrible trend which they are piggy backing on and is embarrassing for it to be linked with Tottenham. Leave this type of shit to the scum down the road.

Imagine. S4E41 – Micky Hazard speaks – The Fighting Cock

Now imagine doing it organically, and from exposure slowly built up from steadily gaining the respect of the fan base over 7+ years. Rather than using the backing of a morally questionable business who has nothing more than a commercial interest in anything you do.

Look, i'm not knocking people who are prepared to put in the genuine effort it takes to produce content about something they are passionate about. I complain frequently about the people on here who moan incessantly about how the club is run but arent prepared to do anything pro-active about it.

BUT, you have to appreciate that this is a massively divisive subject. People support the club in very different ways but fan channels are viewed very poorly by a good proportion of supporters for a number of reasons:

A. The motives of those involved can be questionable (i.e.commercial / self indulgence over "doing it for the love").
B. They can expose the more extreme opinions of the supporter base which gives rival supporters ammunition and can reinforce damaging narratives.
C. The market is already ridiculously saturated as it is and it's not as if we struggle for original content anymore. Either from the club or independently.

Personally, i'm fairly confident that due to the difference in our basic make up as supporters even the worse we can offer will never be as embarrassing as that daily shit shower on AFTV.

BUT, i just don't see the need for it. As a form of media it's just so one way. If i want to engage with other supporters about Spurs then i'll do it on here where there is the possibility of an actual "discussion".
Or, (shock!) i'll go to the game myself, with my phone left in my pocket

We started making videos about Spurs, we have been doing it since April, we haven't had the chance to grow it Organically. The only thing Will Hill has done for us was the Lineker and Les interviews. Should we have turned it down? What should we have done? are you going to claim moral superiority because we are partners with Will Hill?

A) We have been season ticket holders for 8+ years, we go home and away, you can question our motives or whatever but we love the club more than anything.

B) Yes but we are not doing fan cams and i consider myself pretty level-headed. but that is up to other people to decide.

C) Yes also true but pretty much all Clubs have a fan channel now, it is where it is heading and apart from AFTV most of their fan bases enjoy their fan channels and are not terrified of them. So i don't see any reason that Spurs can't have a channel that fans enjoy and want to see. Obviously we are just at the start so are going to make mistakes but i don't see any reason why we can't improve and learn and become the channel we want to be.

That is great, that is how you like to engage, but there are many ways to do it now in 2017 and this is one of the ways as well that we like to engage. Why does it matter that they are different?

I want to make content that Spurs fans want to see, not that we will be embarrassed of. But in that sense i would prefer it to be popular, but we are not gonna go the route of AFTV to get there. if we get little clicks then so be it. I don't see a reason why a fan channel can't be well liked and popular. People think we don't care about our fans or whatever, but we have not once exploited our own fans or shown them being fools or embarrassing.

That is fair enough but their is a market fro Spurs content on Youtube whether you like it or not. So why shouldn't we go for it? because there are people who don't like it? why do they get preference over people who do like it?
