TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Liverpool

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Poch tactical flexibility is what makes me very optimistic to get something out of this game.

This is a 6-pointer fixture. We beat them, we go 7 points clear against one of our top 4 rival.

As a Pool fan in the London area,i'm sure this would be a cracking game for the neutral. I like Spurs. They play good attacking football without the big egos. I think us ,Man City & Tottenham do try to play the right way, no parked buses unlike Man U.I guess we need the three points more than you so hoping we go for it! Wish I could get tickets!

[formation=3421, Lloris, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies, Trippier, Eriksen, Dier, Son, Alli, Kane][/formation]

Hopefully Davies has recovered in time? If not then Rose at LWB. Tripps, Son, and Alli in to freshen things up. Eriksen playing a deeper role to make things happen. The pace Heung Min Son brings will be vital on the counter attack. Bench is looking a lot stronger already with the likes of Winks, Sissoko, Rose and Llorente. Our squad depth is going to be pretty decent when Wanyama, Dembele and Lamela return. Up the spurs!
Whoever plays at left back can expect a workout against Salah.

Did you become a "fan" in the eighties by any chance?

Fuckin hate this fixture, they do seem to be our boogie team! But if we play like we did against Dortmund then I can see a win. Heard Mane is out for this one? Would be good news if true as he caused us the most problems in the away game last season if my memory serves me correctly?

---------------------------Lloris---------------------
--Alderweirld--Sanchez--Vertonghen--
Aurier--------Dier----Sissoko-------Davies
----------------------Eriksen-----------------------
-------------------Kane---Llorente-------------

Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Rose, Dembele, Winks, Alli, Son

I definitely think Llorente should start this and a physical approach is needed against this lot. We have tried a various approaches against these cunts which have not worked but a physical approach is something we have not tried and we know their weak link is their defence and set pieces as well. Llorente would imo cause mayhem to their back line and tbh Alli might need a little rest(i know he didnt play tonight but still). Also would start Aurier who i think would fair better against Salah...although Trippiers crossing would be a great weapon.
How is Aurier going to fair better with salah when he isn't even playing on Salah's side?

Pool get a lot of stick on here but can't take away your stature or history despite the last few years being rocky..

Personally I don't understand the levels of hate from some Spurs. If you take us out the equation I'd much rather you or Utd (sorry) win the PL than Chelsea, City or arse.

Mane ripped Davies a new one last season. Salah has the ability to do exactly the same, especially against a back 3.

Predicting a 3-1 win with Son scoring twice. Always a tough group to play against however, I think we'll get the better if them this time.

7 nil last night was impressive however.

Both one of my favorite and least favorite games at the same time. One of the biggest matches in the league calender but also one of the toughest.

But I'm up for it and I hope the lads are too after a cracker in Madrid.

I’ve got a feeling this one will be an entertaining draw. I hope I’m wrong, & we wipe the floor with them in an entertaining annihilation, but whilst we have been the better team/squad over the past few seasons they have given us all sorts of problems when we played them in the last two years.
We need to find a different way to play them & a similar set up to last night would be my guess.
