TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Liverpool

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

My memories of visting Everton and Liverpool in the 80s was hell and this was in the stadiums. Outside you had to keep quiet or you wouldnt make it home. Liverpool fans no respect for anyone IMO.

My memories of scouseland go back to the late sixties early seventies.Never had any problems with Everton fans.
Liverpool was a different matter. After one game I got thrown into a hedge!
Happy days.]

Everyones experiences are anecdotal, some second or third hand anecdotal.

I've been to Liverpool three times (admittedly not for football), had a fantastic time on each visit. One of the friendliest towns I've been to.

Funny isn't it. Get all these southern and foreign glory hunters 'supporting' Liverpool when the actual Scousers detest their 'out of town' followers.

To an extent you are correct but I have never understood why the out of town followers are disliked by some of the fans ( not many) but there are some. For me I see them as kindred spirits. I mean people who travel from Norway and Sweden to watch a game every week (and there are quite a lot of them) have my utmost respect

The real irony is that the Scousers in this thread are being perfectly respectable while most of our lot look like the chavvy pricks we are accusing them of being

for sure but this isn't a 'generic' footballing forum and chat platform. It's occupied by Spurs fans who would get banned on other sites and want somewhere to vent their often childish views. Most on here ignore the crap and dip in and out when they have time. I imagine most can't be arsed with a sensible grown up discussion with a single opposition fan. It's part of the reason I hate football, the debates with other deluded fans, they never give in and just end up annoying me...

I am in Hong Kong at the moment and I can tell you that there are a lot more Liverpool fans here than there are Spurs fans. Just got back from Thailand and Liverpool are the best supported club there. Spurs are nowhere near as big as Liverpool worldwide and if you think they are you are deluding yourself.
Hong Kong, a load of middle aged middle class expats with no sense of identity or community, of course Liverpool is popular, but no where near as popular as Man U.2nd most popular team in Thailand! You’re having a fucking laugh, so you think they took a survey? If these are the sorts of lies and delusions you need to tell yourself to keep you happy, you carry on son

I live in Thailand and the only Liverpool fans you'll see here are all over 50 .... Thai kids support winners, Liverpool are not winners .... Chelsea, City, RM, Bayern, PSG all have far more support than Liverpool ... the EPL used to be 80% of Thai's first club now that 80% all follow Thai teams ... all Thai games are live as are all EPL games, the Thai ones get five times as many viewers ... following your argument that makes Buriram United FC bigger than Liverpool?

Try using a 'real' measurement like the UEFA coefficient ... Spurs 68.58 ... Dippers 53.57

Nobody will deny that Liverpool were massive 25 years ago .... but that's a generation ago ... the current generation are bored hearing about 'the good old days' ... like the rest off us they just don't give a feck .....

What's the reason you moved out there?

:dier:

Because the deluded RS don't even see themselves as English/British. They boo-ed the national anthem last time they played at Wembley. Cunts. All of them.

When was you last in Liverpool ? You might be surprised to know that after London and Edinburgh Liverpool is the next most visited city in the UK. Its a great city with should I add a great history . You do it an injustice by thinking its the same as it was in the 1970s. You have had a couple of decent seasons due mostly to having an excellent manager in Pochetino. Are you confident that should he leave you can continue improving.
I was last in Liverpool about 4 years ago, fucking horrible place full of scag heads and slappers. There isn’t a decent restaurant or night club in the whole place. I know they get a lot of tourists because of the Beatles, but I pity the poor fuckers that fly to England to go to that shit hole. The tourist board of England should ban it to stop bringing our nation into disrepute. I’ve been to every city in England and it is by far the worst, outside of the north-east anyway

I can see you are living in Thailand and over 50 or not they are still the best supported club in Thailand. How many turned out to watch them the last time they were there. I know and you know what i am saying is true but you can't bring yourself to admit it. If I come to Bangkok Yo can buy me a drinker better still I'll buy you a couple

Brilliant. Try looking at parts of London. They are more like Afghanistan than the UK Very funny.

Nothing to do with segregation

Italian fans there were friendly and wanted a good time and were attacked by these mindless scum

Always fucking hate how Liverpool fans gloss over Heysel. "Yeah, it was a terrible tragedy, BUT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH US, let's move on"

Liverpool infamous actions (whoever to blame) , single handed got English clubs banned form European football.
IMO-I blame Liverpool supporters for this.
For me, Liverpool city was like the Wild West. In the ground, marauding fans expressing their feelings quite clear in their own stadium. On one occasion, a friend and I had to flee for our safety because hundreds of Liverpool fans stormed the seats, climbing over barriers screaming like banshees (and they had won)-fear almost touched cloth.
My son is going to Uni next year and glad Liverpool is not an option (he is not street wise). On the NW news, every week there is a killing in Liverpool and Manchester-guns/stabbings and stollen cars. it only takes a few to slander all.
