In fairness I talked about our squad. Yes, our first eleven is strong but it's a squad game especially when a club is involved in a number of different competitions.

If I were madrid I'd rather him than benzema. But munich, barca & psg don't need him. So not many big clubs he could leave for.

I'd rather that than be a negative fuck about all things Spurs though and positive about all things Woolwich. They are losing Sanchez and Ozil and replacing them with Aubameyang and Mhikitaryan. That's like us selling Eriksen and Kane and replacing them with Barkley and Lukaku, no thanks.

Name me one other attacking midfielder who averages a minimum of two chances created and two tackles successfully made per game they have played. Here's the answer for you, there's not one out there who does what Lamela does as well as Lamela does.

They've not improved at all. Speaking for myself (and, I suspect, a few others) I said Salah isn't a player that turns scraped 4th into wins the title. And so far, he hasnt..it looks likely to stay as scrapped 4th. In fact, they have one more point and 2 more goals. So in reality, he's made very little difference so far.

The discussion was on how well salah would do individually. You keep making it about liverpool in general.

I can see PEA doing an Ozil, stood in the centre circle with gloved hands on hips as teams plough through their midfield. On today’s market £60 million isn’t a huge sum on a seasoned goal scorer, but I can’t help feeling that they will be even less of a team without the drive & talent of Sanchez.
Add to that, PEA’s apparently appalling attitude (suspended by his own club twice already this season suggests he’s a fucking cunt) & I think it’s a transfer that could go spectacularly wrong. They won’t make CL again this year, & all their “star” players will be unhappy with that. Still not sorted Ozil out & he’s able to fuck off on a free soon.
I can see them begging the likes of Wilshere to sign new contracts. And what a day that will be!
Really only Aubameyang & ozil will be their only star players now. & Hopefully ozil will go on a free in the summer. It will be interesting to see what they do this summer. Go for another star or 2? Or buy players to make them a better all round team. Or a big rebuild job?
I think he a quality player, I don't think that about Lacazette. But they signed Ozil and then Sanchez two quality players, but since their arrival they've gone backwards. There is nothing to support them improving since they signed both of them (not even their 2nd place, we gave that to them which still fucks me off).
Their issues are well known, it's in defence and a DM, neither of which has been addressed. Had they addressed this then I would have cause for concern, but I don't.
As for us:
A functioning striker to compete with Kane would be great but we have already seen that should he get injured Son can step in and score goals, lots of them in fact, so it's not quite the major issue that people say.
For me our biggest problem on the pitch is if Eriksen gets injured, Lanzini for me would be ideal player to cover this. I'm unsure about our CM at the moment too, I love all the players we have competing with these spots (Dier, Wanyama, Dembele, Winks) but with the exception of Dier all of them are suffering with injuries, because of this I think we need to look to an additional body to bring in, no evidence to back this up other than press reports but Dembele is probably is on the wayne (*wipes tear from my cheek) so an almost impossible player to replace, but to find a ball player who can dribble and break the oppo lines would be ideal. That said and done maybe Foyth could do a Dier and step into a DM role, on early showings he's good on the ball?? Either way we are fortunate that Eriksen has never been injured, but our struggles this year have been in central midfield with Wanyama out and Dier covering for Alderweirled, far, far to easy for the oppo to be on our back four once they get past our front line.
They won’t rebuild big until grandpa Arsene has gone. The new guy who comes in will want to mound his own team & have big funds to do it.
I’d be surprised if they went in too large on transfers. Would love it if they did & left that senile old cunt in charge of the cheque book in his last year. He will troll the fuck out of them.
