Despite what some people say about our football, we’re doing pretty decent as stats show.

It's not that great though. In terms of shots faced (as well as being worse than City, Liverpool,Chelsea, Utd, we are also worse than Wolves, Leicester, Everton and Watford. Attacking wise we are worse than City and Chelsea and hovering within a shot of (ManU, Liverpool fair do's) Southampton, Fulham, Wolves, Everton.
The most worrying facet though is the XG against, where (as well as being worse than ManC, Liverpool and Chelsea) we are actually worse than Watford, Everton, Leicester and Wolves, and similar to ManU, Woolwich and Bournemouth.
When you consider how ManU are supposedly in a deep crisis, Woolwich have been described as being way too open and Bournemouth are always too open. It's not fabulous reading.
- 1 point better off than at this stage last season
- Best start to a season since 1960/1961.
And at what cost?Man City’s stats are insane.

It doesn't quite work that way mate. The combined XG shows the quality of shots is far greater than the quality against, this is a true reflection of how football works, you know score more than the team we are playing and we are far better than those teams you would draw comparison with. It's not that great though. Didn't know where to put this but o found it interesting. Mad how we aren't even in the top 4 with a stat like that
And the last piece of silverware was the League Cup in February 2008. :vertna:We seem to be the king of these stats.
Like us being the best team of calendar years and how between 2015 and 2017 we were top based on points won etc.
Yet have not been top once since 2014.

I think even 2014 was because we had the good fortune to play a crap QPR in the lunchtime kick off, 2nd match in. Beat them 4-0.Yet have not been top once since 2014.

I hate to think how long before that when we topped the table.
