Is it me, or is this a wee bit desperate....

Ross Mooring, Chelsea Fancast: "In spite of Chelsea's transfer ban, thanks to January's early Christian Pulisic signing and the club's "Loan Army" recall of last season's Championship stars Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Reece James the club has somehow managed to bring in almost £200m worth of talent this summer.

Without the ban they would have been whining about a lack of superstars

AM: Willian, Pulisic, Pedro (+ Hudson-Addoy to miss a good half or more of the season)....

Fatty will no doubt put Kante back where he's best, but outside of that, similarly CM has no real stand-outs either (Barkley, Kovacic, Drinkwater, Loftus-Cheek).

All looks pretty shabby to me.

Much like the Goons, if a couple of Everton, Leicester & Wolves pull their finger out, it could be a long tough season for these cunts..... Throw United into that mix too unless some major miracles happen on the recruitment front. Throw in a mid-season managerial casualty or two and we could witness (subject to order):

City, Dippers, Spurs, Everton, Wolves, Leicester...

(What, do we then start talking about the "big" or "top" 9?, FFS!)

BRING IT ON!

Worries the media will just start saying big 2 for city and liverpool

Luis was their hero. A Chav public favorite.

And he shows exactly that literally none of their legend players or icon players like himself have anything with Chelsea. Chelsea is a fake, made top club with only mercenary players.

And Luiz just demonstrated it. No one gives a shit about that Russian blood money club.

Will be interesting to see what Chelsea's starting 11 will be at the weekend.
It will be no different to last years with Pulisic instead of Hazard and Zouma instead of Luiz. Fat Frank has the luxury of a literal army of players to choose from who are out on loan and a tiny handful of young but high-profile young players he'll use to create the feel-good factor. The press will also be licking his arse, even if he has a rocky start.

Don't think he will start with Abraham, odoi and mount etc?

Every chance he'll go with maybe one, doubt all three in one go. They have got a fairly difficult handful of games to start with so will expect the old guard will play to gain some points. If of cause the older players haven't been up to speed in training and don't provide enough energy, which they have been accused of before, then that's the only situation I see him selecting the youth.

Odoi is still out with an Achilles injury is he not?

Abraham could probably get the start with either Giroud or the Batsman coming on in the second half.

Meh, something like:

Kepa;
Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, Emerson;
Barkley, Kanté, Kovacic;
Willian, Giroud, Pulisic ?
