Well clearly we have a different perspective. But that's what the forum is all about.TBF most of the fans at games are drunk. I'm not putting him down I'm jsut stating my long-time observations of a player. You make it sound like there's some nefarious motive behind my observations. He's had his moments but they've been just that, fleeting moments. But these moment have been interspersed between larger expanses of wastefulness and technical deficiency.
And in the main he has never been a major contributor to our play but rather a main beneficiary of our play. And for me the upsetting part is that he has not improved his game to become a more of a contributor and that will be his downfall. His will be a story of what could have been and it's being written as we type.
Appreciate your perspective though.
Cricket is not a sport either. Personally I find it boring to the nth degree but it's a British tradition I respect but don't watch. Exactly as Baseball is your tradition. From my reading, baseball has changed over the last 10 or so years. It, according to one pundit in the NY Times, has, like most games on the planet run by money. Ditto NFL.You did spend too much time over here. Exactly correct my cutting friend.
And for my edification what is your personal classification of Cricket? I believe over there you classify it as sport, no? Just looking for a little consistency.
Also, why do English lads sing in 'American'? Check your shhhhhhhhhhhhedule and get back to me. I know you had a problem with our math so I just want to be clear on these items.
Which... the iPad or the car ??
That's ok.
Just watched the highlights again, Danny Rose on the 1st goal, what are you doing man? Playing him over Davies could very well have cost us the game. Rose has cost us many goals this year, enough is enough.
Hubcaps on an ipad? I know Apple stuff is shit, but hubcaps?Don’t forget the hubcaps!
Cricket is not a sport either.
To be fair mate you haven't done to bad out of it over the years.
they must have lessons in how to create a penalty situation, very skilful. They must also be the most hated team in the countryAbsolutely agree, he just seems to get every fucking decision without question week in and out. 'The officiating and media' is so biased and if not that cunt, then it's Salah diving. He's the ultimate footballing cheating cunt & i badly want to see him do an ankle ligament. (not nice but fuck it) They say decisions balance out which is completely BS.
i have to admit alli was a possible stay for me, after reading your words, youre right he is worth keeping, but not 1st team, and just a squad player, eriksen is a mercenary, couldnt sign a contract, so we can sell him for decent cash, levy should pay him to sign contract, and then sell him, he makes loads of cash, and gets his move, win, win, its all about money with this guy, even if we gave him 10 million, his transfer fee would be 40 million +, better than losing on free.
Yes, but our WASPy ruling class go back to their roots when it comes to this. They love a bit of socialism here: profit sharing, salary caps, luxury taxes, etc etc. And let us not forget the 'combine' and the draft...reminiscent of some of Europe's very bad past. From my reading, baseball has changed over the last 10 or so years. It, according to one pundit in the NY Times, has, like most games on the planet run by money. Ditto NFL.
I said cutting because it fit grammatically but I was saying 'cutter', as in your job and not your wit or sarcasm. Though that's decent too.I'm sorry if I sounded cutting....Cardiovascular care... You can come and see me free.
No, I wouldn't. But since it comes from the Latin schedula and the 'h' is there to make the 'c' hard I would pronounce it 'skejool' like intended. Were it to be soft they would have spelled it 'scedule'. I would have figured a man of your education would have learned this in shool somewhere. And most of us do say "shedule". After all, you wouldn't refer to Bobby Fisker now, would you.
Good points all around. It's rare to find a convincing English accent from an American...and vice versa, but less so. The Aussie's, however, seem to have us both nailed on. Tricky bastards.I believe that the American singing comes down to the origins of the music. R and R, jazz etc are all original American genres so they try for authenticity. But fail. On the other hand, last time I was there, I went to a performance of Hamlet that was an all American cast but done in rather dubious English accents. Again, all down to origins of the genre.
It's a struggle for you Americans, isn't it, hmm? Trying to understand a sport that doesn't involve body armour, beating something with a bat or shooting defenceless animals in the wild without a hope of them ever being a danger to you. You turn up at wars years late, and claim you did all the hard work, take a perfectly serviceable language that has been honed to perfection and then bugger it up by misspelling and mispronouncing everything, and then completely fail to understand our national sport and "procede" to proceed to lecture us on its finer virtues.TBF most of the fans at games are drunk. Don't you have a stupor into which to drink yourself tonight? Why don't you get on with it and stop spewing your drivel. You wouldn't know a bunsen burner from a stovetop burner. And hard work or not you'd be watching the Bundesliga if it wasn't for us. Gute nacht, mein freund. It's a struggle for you Americans, isn't it, hmm? You think obscene amounts of money is a substitute for class and style and frankly, I've seen more culture in a biology laboratory.
One of your more educated countrymen once said that it was better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
Cricket was invented to assist Englishmen to get to sleep on a warm afternoon after some liquid refreshment, and is only taken seriously when beating Australian convicts.
Isn't it embarrassing to you that you are so bad in your sport? Literally no country in the world wants to pattern their game on your brand of football. The PL is what it is because of foreign players. That must irk you a bit brexit boy.and then completely fail to understand our national sport
Reminded me of a very posh lady who came in the shop one day and after being served with fuel said to the cashier "I'd like a chit please". He looked up and said "Toilets are over there love". Her face was aghast. Must admit there were tears in my eyes as I took him to one side and explained.Cricket is not a sport either. I'm sorry if I sounded cutting. It's never my intention to put down a fellow Tottenham fan. And most of us do say "shedule".
Dude you turned your back on humanity and fascism for 2 years and only Japan made you do something, shameful brother. You were cowardly isolationists. And hard work or not you'd be watching the Bundesliga if it wasn't for us. Gute nacht, mein freund.
And we gave the fucking world Democracy and self-rule while you still have monarchies and noble blood, ceremonial or not. Tell me how that measures up against your fucking sports.Saved the world from a host of douchebag hillbilly sports and gave mankind football , cricket , rugby , golf , tennis etc.
Jeez, you’re such a fool - you gave the world democracy? Surely you don’t actually mean that? You’ve already stolen a nation by extermination, and enriched it with the enslavement of another in your extremely short history You’re just another USA blowhard - and you know nothing about football. Like Sammy said - stick to baseball. And we gave the fucking world Democracy and self-rule
We kept you from goosestepping.
