Sounds crazy as he's let in 4. But I still like the Ajax keeper. Good age as well.
Rumoured we are interested for 35m. Good price.

I like Gazza but he's nearly 28 and has, as far as I know, has never been a No.1 at a top club, which says a lot.

I LOVE the way he bollocks his defenders, as a 'keeper should. He's good but I'm not sure if he's a No.1, I have doubts about him under a high ball/cross.

I’d sooner have him than Hugo

Re: the Onana talk, I wonder if there's more to Lloris' injury than has been let on.

He already seemed to be on the decline, but compounding that with a nasty elbow dislocation may spell a premature end to his Spurs career.

In that light, it would make good sense to get his replacement in January rather than in summer when our desperation for a new starting keeper will be clear for the world to see. This isn't meant to be down on Gazzaniga, who would still very much be needed as number 2/pressure on a starting spot.

Well until Lloris is back ..... we shall find out....... by the way and this is no criticism of your opinion 28 is no age for a Goalkeeper........ Dino Zoff won the world cup at 40..... and er! remember Jennings......

Urm the money was there to spend on Maddison (he went for £22m the same summer we tried to sign Grealish for £25m). Why curse you Levy and not curse you Poch for identifying the wrong target?
He makes transfers such hard work. I actually don't like Maddison that much. Not the in-thing to say but I think he is over rated. But wish we had paid mane what he wanted.

He impressed me tonight. Looks big and strong and commanded it well. I wasn't sure but after watching him a few times now I am open to this move.
Yeah, he looks a good all round keeper. No obvious weaknesses. Not sure if van de Beek is 1 of those players who pops up with a neat finish but doesn't do much else OR is a good all round neat & tidy player who would be worth getting.

I was watching Slavia Prague today. they have this left winger, a Nigerian named Peter Olayinka. He was blowing the doors off of anyone trying to defend him ( and that was Barca). Great with the ball at his feet. He will be 24 next week, and Slavia only has $3.2 million invested in him.

Not sure what our style is in the interim tbh, but we are not the hard pressing team of a few years ago. If we persist how we are then I'd suggest defensively sound FBs is more important than flying wingbacks.

DM: Yes, signing one would be nice, but actually being intent on fielding a specialist DM is key. Right now Poch doesn't seem to want to.
Great points both... No idea what our 'style' is but until we get more control in the MF then our FBs have to be sound defensively and not going off on jaunts. We are such a mish-mash right now. Good thing we have CE's intelligence to see us through these tough times.**

**Ok BC that was a cheap shot...but I enjoyed it. It was the fact that I was replying to AF that pulled the **** outta me. This hairy-chested, jeri-curled bastard has those powers. I won't fall victim again to his siren song.

.....Our resident scouts got a verdict on this chap?

Is this the DM we're all dreaming of?
Yes, he is good and has all the things you would expect from a MFer and can cover CB as well. Much to bus-conductor bus-conductor chagrin he also has athleticism and physicality in his toolbox so he actually might put in a tackle or play some defense along with actually passing the ball.*** Check out his game vs BVB in the Pokal from last week. I can get you the links if you'd like...for a fee you tight bastard.

***I'll do better BC.

I like him a lot but he is a limited footballer. It's a lot of money for a guy who cannot help you play out from the back. I have seen him make tasty vertical passes, but only really when the opposition have just lost possession and there are gaps to be exploited.
So he plays like you would want the last man in your MF to play then? You know, taking things when they are there to be exploited but since you are without a net being safe. Some would say even intelligent but with some physicality, athleticism, and defensive instinct in one package instead of split amongst 3 players. There are no Sergi Busquets on the market.
