....That requires a cure?

"My balls are too big"

Oh do you just have walnut sized ones?
I have been saying Spurs have to be better than 12 men to win, as the referees are anti-Tottenham and have been for many years since Sky backed Woolwich. Under Poch Spurs were not looking likely recently, but the great style José has instilled in the same team and revival of Dele Alli now gets Tottenham the results and overcomes rotten officiating against Spurs.

Well done José and team!
Do you know you're mad?

There’s a lot to take from this match I think. One thing that’s clear is that Mourinho seems better at synthesizing a coherent formation from the available parts, rather than setting out a plan and expecting players to conform to it.
  • I like the pseudo-back 3. It uses available players to our advantage.
  • Dele, Son, and Kane are playing extremely well together. I disagree with whoever said Son was “off” a few pages ago.
  • Sissoko was good.
  • Ndombele not so good.
  • Big question here was Dier. A lot of people are going to say poor game, but I saw him do some good work marking and harrassing opposing players, disrupting play, getting the ball back, with Ndombele as the actual passing midfielder. Not a flashy job, but important. Hmmmm....

Highlight of the day must be meeting Mr and Mrs WookieD WookieD in the Dispensary before the game. What a lovely couple.
Nice, open game but we really should have put it to bed well before they scored.
Dele is getting back to his best, who would have known that playing him just behind H would pay dividends!
Serge was mainly good but still has the odd cock up that could prove costly.
Loved seeing Super Jan back, and he looked comfortable in the LB position, definitely an improvement on Rose (think I've got my left and right sides correct!).
Obviously things are going to take a while to settle and sort out, but as long as we keep chalking up the points, I'm not too fussed how we get them at this stage.

A better team and we lose that game today. But, that's well tucked into the realms of modal verbs, not reality. In reality, it's three from three! COYS!

Still feel a bit dirty celebrating to be honest, such was the love for our last manager.

Good.
We’re playing lovely attacking football again. Dele looks the player who banged in 18 PL goals
Aurier continues to excel in an attacking role while playing sound defense.
Sanchez quietly rock at the back
Favorite part of the match was Aurier’s reaction to Sissoko’s beauty

thought we were better defending corners as well.

more disappointing than allowing the 2 goals was not completely killing off the game. Some ridiculously good chances not taken.

Still have no doubt José will sort out the leaky defense which looked solid for 70 mins today

Back home. Strange game. Went from a feel good festival to panic and almost despair. But the results are all that matter right now and there are also some clearly visible improvements starting to come through.

Our set-up was quite solid but we always looked risky at the back. We have individually talented players but there is still work to do to get the overall defensive unit in order and for a full 90 minutes. Part of that will hopefully come with time with JM; part will come from confidence. Our defensive group needs time rather than recruits for me.

The Sissoko goal was a proper feel-good “I was there...” moment. He also had a great game, especially as he has not played a lot in recent matches. Dele showed class, composure, cockiness and complacency at times - but he is looking happier and re-energised.

Overall, a decent week. Wednesday is intriguing. I’d love JM to have more time to figure this game out - although part of me is hoping that he’s been planning this one since he started.

Final note, atmosphere was excellent today - and I was in the 1882 section. Proper fans all around me. COYS.

Absolutely cracking day! Pleasure to have a V&T with the beautiful Dame of TFC 👍

As for the game, I hate to bang on but give Dele freedom and the bloke bangs... simple really. What a pleasure today was.
