He's shown for the last 2 years + that he couldn't play at PL level on a regular basis, so very much doubt if he could ever return on a consistent basis

But how do we know what he's shown is any different from what Dier's shown, who's looked atrocious nearly every time he's been played in the last 18 months? Wanyama's been played in infrequent ad hoc games - hardly conducive to regaining form.

Wanyama hasn't looked any worse than Dier. in most of those odd games. Colchester for example. He played pretty well in the PL game against Huddersfield, scored a good goal goal too.

For all we know, all Wanyama needs is a run of games to get some kind of match form back? I mean Poch was still putting into games and on the bench, suggesting he's definitely not "completely fucked".

Why not give him the time people are suggesting we give to Dier - because even at his best Dier's not a CM, at least Wanyama is.

Consider how infrequently he played for Pochettino and how he has yet to feature for Mourinho, that’s two very good managers who have decided he isn’t good enough anymore.

He started a cup game this season and was brought on ahead of Dier (who was also on the bench) against Leicester earlier this season. Do you believe Pochettino would do that if he was deemed physically shot and a worse option than Dier?

Dier was hardly first choice any more under Poch was he?

First off, Dier started that cup game too, so I'm not entirely sure what your point is for Wanyama starting against Colchester. As far as Wanyama being brought on before Dier, maybe Poch viewed Dier as more of a CB at this point in his career and didn't want to bring him on to play DM. When Poch went to play a DM against Brighton, he started Dier and not Wanyama. Mourinho disagrees with Poch on Dier at least, but the one thing they both seem to agree on is Victor Wanyama isn't good enough anymore.

I think Bale makes a lot of sense for us. We hired Mourinho because of his championship pedigree. Now add an elite goal scorer with a history of winning at the highest levels. Two veterans who win. It could be what we need to take the next step.

Son - Kane - Bale
Ndombele - Sissoko - Dele
Jan - Dias - Toby - Atal
Gazzaniga

Why didn’t we just go for Sander Berge in the summer, now the dippers are sniffing around him :pochsulk:
He would be the perfect January signing. Cheap, young and brilliant.

I think we will need to stop thinking about the club signing young rising stars. Jose will want players with the experience ready to come in and make an immediate impact.

I think Jose want a CDM, and i think that will be Nemanja Matic. Jose knows very well him. A think Matic with José plays his best football. Wanyama probably will gone in January.

And a substitute for Harry we need. Lucas or Son their are not Striker´s

Bruno might be a great player but AM is so low on the priority list for me. We are worried about getting Lo Celso minutes and that is with Lamela already hurt. We have the following as attacking options...

Kane
Son
Dele
Lucas
Lo Celso
Lamela
Sessegnon

Much rather use funds to get a CDM, young CB and fullbacks.

Absolutely agree with this.

It's obvious the problems lie in defence - attacking wise we have real quality and a certain amount of depth.
Main priority would be new CDM, CB and 2 fullbacks as what we have at the moment is either ageing players or a lack of quality in those positions
