Anyone else feel like we are trapped in a never ending nightmare where Serge Aurier will be our right back and Eric dier our DM for the rest of time

Shame we aren't after him.

Lyall has absolutely no clue at all. He even purposefully goes against the grain on occasion when it comes to spurs and is almost always incorrect. (Examples include Son and Ndombele but there are more that escape me)

I listened to a podcast last week where he spent 10 minutes talking about the that fact we won’t be in for any midfielders because we “don’t need any”. He said RB and CB are our only priorities.

Don’t pay attention to him, he really doesn’t have the foggiest, amazing that he got a promotion.

In all honesty he wasn't our worst early 90s buy. Actually won us something this lad
I can still visualise his diving header against Leicester.

One of my favourite memories of spurs. Was about 6 years old. Then I started giving large to Robbie Savage after the game.

Singing savage what's the score, savage, savage,
What's the score

That's what winning trophies does. Creates memories at the very least.

Is it just me or has the quality of players declined in the past few years?

I'm talking globally, not just spurs or in the Prem.

I'm looking around at the top teams and the old dogs from yesteryear are still playing for them and the youngsters seem not to be getting in.

I'm looking around for potential suitors at DM and I don't see anyone that's any good. Even if money wasn't an issue who would you get. Can only think of Kante perhaps Fabinho. Anyone in Europe?

Big love for this comment.

The Son transfer really did expose him as a fraud. I think he actually went back and deleted his tweets saying it was a no-goer, though I could be wrong.

It’s a possibility.

I was watching a video of Spurs from the Redknapp era the other day, and it was alarming how quick and alert we were compared to today.

It wouldn’t surprise me if money plays its part. In F1 it has virtually nothing to do with talent, and all to do with the level of sponsorship a ‘pilot’ can bring. There were rumours that Livermore got his break in football through his family’s criminal connections.

Given the money involved, I’d say the talent pool has been diluted by rich pricks paying for their talentless offspring to get extra advantages and opportunities at the expense of good players.

Was watching the Liverpool game yesterday and was thinking that our u23 and u18s beat that same team.

I watch our youth teams occasionally and more often than not we are the better team. Particularly if we play a domestic team. Only games this season I've seen us been beaten was against bayern in the youth league.

I question the structure in place at clubs which allows youth to progress into first teams. Troy Parrott is a good example. Goes back to the debate to loan him or keep him in house.
