One of the (few) reasonable things the commentary team mentioned today was having a CF who can play alongside and in place of Kane so it doesn’t massively disrupt the team if either is out. When Kane and Llorente did this last season, it worked really well after the first try. It’s a bit old-school to have two proper strikers on the pitch (or a CF as an AM, backing the first m) but might be an option? Particularly as Kane seems to like dropping off a little and playing passes about, QB style.

Conte is utilizing this to great effect at Inter. The classic Big and small striker duo. Lukaku and Latuaro have found legit chemistry and are both on 10+ league goals.

The modern game has moved away from striker partnerships but when done right they are still highly effective.

all I know is that he had a bunch of hype as part of the Portuguese side, think it was the Euros, and then he stunk it up wherever he went club wise. I could be wrong as I have maybe seen him play twice, but I think that is the case.
 
What worries me a bit is that he is 18. Our other 18 year olds aren't exactly getting any game time. If Mourinho plans to play Fernandes, why not play Skipp or Parrott now?

He has obvious talent but just not consistent. Bought by Milan and only scored one goal in his debut season. Went on loan to Sevilla last season and netted 9 but then drew blanks in the final half of the season. Now he is on a 2 year loan at Frankfurt where he has 3 goals in 10 games.
