Got a twitter suspension for calling Levy a bald cunt on spurs official twitter.

annoying because I can’t follow all the rumours.

but also... great!! As they’re just disappointing. The bald cunt

It's all a bit of a mess isnt it.

Unless the club surprise everyone and make 2 or 3 really clever signings I can only see things getting worse in terms of fans anxiety and the relationship between the club and fans getting worse.

What's the plan here, what exactly is Mourinho trying to achieve ? His now changing formations which is never ever a good sign and looking all the more desperate and the transfer rumours are worrying me.

We dont seem to have much money so our choices have to be crucial.

A stop gap striker is absolutely not what I'd go for. In previous seasons son has shown he can do it. We now have lo celso and sessengon added to those who can be a supporting attacker. Werr6also rebuilding so why waste money in January on a player that we probably normally wouldn't consider (see the lad at Milan)

We need a defensive midfielder. Eric dier and wanyama physically look finished. Winks tries but isnt a dm so I'd make that position a priority.

Were not being linked with any though! Kelvin phillips is a guy I keep saying but his the sort of player we desperately lack. The defence which is struggling has almost no protection in front of it . Poch idea of flooding the midfield with players who all track back hasn't really worked , especially as the diamond was so bad and now we need a destroyer type who will help those struggling defenders. Fernandes clearly isnt that and whilst he looks good I worry our policy is now being led by the needs of jorge Mendes and not the club.

Also we have to decide our first choice back four and go with it. If sanchez was at a German club would we all be begging the club to buy him? I think so. I'd like the club to get the dm in and better full backs with maybe a better keeper and then see how we get on.

Look you are criticising him for changing formation yet pointing out just how many players he needs.
That’s without considering Kane, Ndombele and Sissoko are out and Dier seems to be ill again.
No matter what you think of Dier, he was clearly in Jose’s plans, so if he can’t play, he needs to make changes.

Would you prefer that he stuck rigidly to a formation that wasn’t working?
Lamela literally came back from fitness two weeks ago, he will get game time.

Lo Celso will also become a regular starter, and the manager has basically had his plans scuppered by Ndombele not being able to complete a game.

He just introduced Tanganga, who looks like the second coming of Ledders. I can see him playing DM before long.
He said “This is Tottenham”. I can also see Skipp coming through soon.

We were rubbish for so long, it can’t be fixed in two months with no signings and major injuries.

People need to calm the fuck down a bit, his track record speaks for itself and there is no doubt that once the deadwood is shifted and the team freshened up with some academy and some signings, we will see vast improvements and a settled approach.

Lots of excuses there , I dont recall you giving the previous manager such an easy ride...

Why should I calm down? Everyone gets injuries , kane especially has had Injuries nearly every season and we have coped ok.

We havent been shit for so long . We had a bad start and rushed a decision. If you call champions league finalists and top four shit I expect you will be demanding mourinho is sacked if we dont win the league next year as your standards seem incredibly high?

Honestly I have to concerns , well two main concerns.

Where have the coaching improvements been? I honestly cant see any.

And what the transfer policy. The Fernandes signing worries me as it's clearly one led by Mendes and not by scouting and preparation.

Add those two together and I think were in trouble. Mourinho will want a lot of money in the summer and levy probably isnt going to give him it and then what?

The club needs to decide what it wants to be because at the moment we seem to be a basket case. If you bring in Mourinho then invest like Mourinho always has. Or as we probably should have done get a coach in who is hungry, fresh and wants to improve players and is happy with a stats driven approach.

My worry is this is going to massively blow up in our faces.

We've been shit for a full year almost. The CL run was wonderful, although a bit lucky in some spots, but the domestic run the last half of last season and leading up until Poch's sacking was complete shit. It wasn't just "a bad start". We were once run away 3rd place finishers and ended up being lucky to even finish top 4, and only finished top 4 thanks to everyone else also being terrible. You're asking for coaching improvements when Jose walked into a shit storm, and then had multiple key injuries, and has yet to have a transfer window. Give him time to see what he's working with. You have no proof that he is demanding huge money in the window. And if you don't think he knew what to expect from Levy then you're calling him a moron. Everyone in football knows how Levy can be. There are reasons to complain about the club right now. But your complaints have me dumbfounded.

I agree with pretty much all of that, my worry is that the signings won't materialise (or at least not this month) and his frustration will grow

Ok hard to break down as it's one long paragraph but I'll try and answer what I think are your main points to prevent you from being dumbfounded.

Form. Yes we have had a poor year but, but that poor year included a top four finish and cl final so it was also one of the clubs best ever. New season , new start and it was awful yes. But the new players the manager finally got were all either unfit or injured. One who is was expected to replace eriksen was signed so late there was no way he would be ready and thus we started bad.

The debate around should he have been sacked is for a previous day but if anyone replicates that awful year of top four and cl final ill be over the moon.

Lucky? Well we did it. How many cl final have you seen us get to previously. Before poch how many top four finishes have you seen in the premier league era? I'd rather be lucky and get success than unlucky and back in mid table.

So regarding this short period in. So normally when a new manager comes in you see a bounce. There was one but now we have a point from 18 in the league and a replay with Middlesbrough in the cup. Do I expect a whole new well oiled machine? No of course not but I do expect small improvements. I'm.not seeing any. What I am seeing is more long balls and that's about it. Every team has Injuries . You just buried the previous coach and yet he got us to the CL final and top four without Kane for huge parts. He never got a chance to really bed in N'dombele, sess and lo celso so why should the new manager who I have no emotional connection with and has never done anything for this club that excuse?

Lastly transfers. No I have no proof he wants huge money. But he is known as a coach who demands huge money. Having said he didnt want any new players publically he then claimed he couldnt cope without kane after getting a draw with the mighty Middlesbrough, did he presume kane is never injured? I cant recall the last season kane didnt have long lay off. So what is it? Were already being linked to players which scream panic- see the guy at Milan.

Jose is anything but a moron and we have no idea of the conversation they had. But selling this club now is far easier than it was five years ago. With the stadium and income that it and champions league football has been bringing in, I can see him thinking its ripe to be taken to the elite.

I hope I'm wrong and usually I'd be on your side in screaming for time but we seem to be getting worse not better and his so moody at times I fear this could go really wrong.

I think fans need to just get top 4 out of their minds. Obviously that's what everyone wants and is very important for the club. And we honestly do have a chance to get there. But the most important thing right now in my opinion is just getting things in order. The squad is in a major funk and it is going to take time to sort it out. Multiple windows. The effects of a year long draught of signing new players are here (and an even longer draught of signing quality players). It put us in a situation where we couldn't sell because we had no depth or succession plan for any of the players. And then it was difficult to buy because we couldn't guarantee play time for incoming players without knowing for sure if we were able to sell current players. It made things very difficult for Levy, but it was a problem he certainly helped create.

Poch was clearly frustrated by these issues, and rightfully so, but he let it boil over to the squad. Multiple reports have cited his increasing distance from the players. He was burnt out, frustrated, and eventually unhappy. I don't want this to become a Poch-Levy-Jose argument, there are other threads for that, but my main point for here is, give Levy and Jose time. Levy dug this hole himself. He deserves criticism for putting the club in this situation. But so far he is showing signs of fixing it. In the summer we bought 3 players who look very promising along with Clarke who we haven't seen much as of now. In this window we seem to be way more active than we have in any January window I can remember. He just unloaded a truck of cash to hire one of the best managers to ever do it. He is showing more ambition in the past 6 months than he ever has. I understand the frustrations, they're warranted. But let's give this new Jose-era time to play out before we start calling for his head.

He was pivotal for us getting into the CL final and is the kind of player we could use right now. I see nothing bad in bringing him in.
I have nothing against the guy and he was useful to have at the club.

However, bringing him back just smacks of incompetence at the club. Let him go on a free in the summer. Don't replace him with another back up striker. Overplay Kane ragged till he breaks. Then try to bring him back without spending any money instead of showing more ambition like a big club. I'm just pissed with the situation we're in.

They definitely won't.
Mourinho came to us because he ran out of options after failing at United (in terms of the league)
The philosophy of Levy and the board is that Jose is a better manager than Poch, so he should be able to do better than Poch.
Furthermore he said the squad was good enough and that was music to Levy's ears.
