A few very good euro journos - Kevin Hatchard Andy Brassell Etc are quite excited about Gedson - saying he’s very athletic, covers a lot of ground and is good on the ball with a good passing range.

Because Son isn't a striker.

And by playing Son up top you eliminate our threat from out wide where Son plays his best football.
What's the use playing him wide when there is no threat up front. He has stepped in for Kane many times before and done a great job, we have no one else who can do better.

They may not but if they do we just use the squad we have. I'd rather we get the right players than getting in players in who have no experience at this level on loan.
Both skipp and parrot are good young players that I am happy we have, but we are down to our bare bones here with nobody else to call on.

If they come in to the team and get injured we are fucked. If they come in to the team and play shit (which happens a lot with young players) then we are fucked and so is their confidence.

These signings are a must, nobody can say hand on heart that a 17 year old and a 19 year old that have barely any first team minutes are readyto be first team starters every week.

Also playing in the Portuguese top flight, and Europa league/CL is much closer to the level of the prem then the youth games that skipp and parrot have played in.

They aren’t looking to sell. The reasons for the loans are quite simple. We need players in midfield and attack and there’s nobody out there that we want to/can buy now so a loan is by far the best option. It doesn’t saddle the club with players we don’t want long term and fills a need we require now. Plus leaves us more cash to spend (fingers crossed) in the summer when our actual targets (optimistically) are available.

If the players on loan do well then we might take them, but if they don’t they can fuck off back to their clubs and that’s that.

I get what you are saying but I do not believe football works that way. Even on loan you don’t recruit punts or squad fillers, if that’s all you need then the Championship offers that opportunity.

I don’t quite get the loan approach other than to suggest there is an issue with the club committing to big out lays at the moment.

the Lo Celso loan deal hints at it being something strange.
