Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’ve never been too sure what Wolves are up to, but that huge level of Fosun money seems to be doing absolute wonders for them, mini Man City perhaps.

Edit: one google later...
I think almost all the big midlands clubs are owned by Chinese/Asian investors now. The Chinese are also investing in various industrial projects/companies in the region as well.

Definitely a bit of wheeling and dealing going on.

About time someone did some wheeling and dealing at Spurs as we are desperate for some injection of playing quality.

I wonder if the Jose thing is the first step towards something bigger at Spurs given his Network ? Also maybe makes more sense as to why he was so clear in stating that Wolves were targeting top 4, not top 6 ? He’s ITK :)

There definitely seems to be a disjointed structure between our youth setup and first team. And it isn't something new that has happened with Mourinho's entrance. Poch was just as bad at properly utilizing our academy.
Yep, and it's another huge reason for having a director of football. Don't know about elsewhere but in Spain that's one of their key roles, and very much a day-to-day one

I think this season is more or less a write off. Jose has been brought in to start bringing in some trophies (be they, league, cup or European) and will be given the chance to deliver. But I don't think we can start actively judging it as a success or not until next season. It is pretty obvious that the squad is in need of a makeover.

Like, for me personally I would be happy if we managed to achieve something akin to what Sevilla had a few years back where they became Europea League specialists (3 titles on the trot I think). But I know that for most fans it is the league title or bust.

I think the best we can do is install a sporting director but that is probably more of a discussion for the transfer thread rather than the Clarke one.

And in Germany, and in France, and Italy etc.

The idea of the manager controlling transfers is antiquated and seems to only still exist as an idea in England.

We had our chance...
Besides, "Wheeling & Dealing" sounds SO out of date... along with smoky Club boardrooms full of ageing white men!

It's all about THE PROJECT now!! (And even THAT feels a bit 2016!)

First thing citeh did, whilst the british press was obsessing over Guardiola going to the chavs, was prepare for his arrival by bringing in Beigeristan(spelling) and Sorriano.

Good that it did not drag out until the end of the month.
Now he can practice co-operation with Luke Amos who is also on loan there and has established himself as certain starter.

If we don't find any other options for CCV, maybe we can send him to QPR as well :D ? Easier to keep track of their progress :D
