From a strategic standpoint, I always think those cryptics are very clever.

Those frauds just look in the news for a handful of the most touted targets:

Cavani, Willian José, Piatek, Bergwijn, Bale, Can...

And then find a vague subject that connects most of them:

Moulin Rouge:
- Cavani also plays in Paris
- "can can" could mean Emre Can
- Not bothered to make up a connection for the others, which of course can be fabricated if you think long enough
 
Just because we need a DM, striker, RB doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be getting Bergwijn. We need to improve the overall squad and he does that. Hopefully a Levy can do more than one thing at a time.
 
how are we doing home grow player wise in the EPL & CL squads ?
if we let Rose & KWP go do we need to get in English players ?
we still need a DM & a CF (even if hes a loan signing
 
I’d argue that there is absolutely a need for Bergwijn, both short and long term. They get a striker in, and I believe Mourinho can make it work until the summer.

The heavy lifting was always going to wait until then anyways. And quite frankly, I’d rather them get a DM they truly want than panic purchasing one for the sake of filling a hole for a short few month.
