That will be annoying. They will be competing for the same players as us. Then move onto city type spending in couple of years.
Whilst they will get a big cash bump City levels are no longer possible under EPL and FFP rules ... Everton have a billionaire owner but are already running into problems with overspending ... hence the urgency for the new ground ... Newcastle would have the same profit based limitations. The days of City and Chelsea's unlimited cash are now probably in the past, Newcastle would be just another club with a couple of hundred million to burn, but then who doesn't these days?

FFP is pretty easy to navgigate

50m a year from saudi aramco on the shirt
30m to sponsor saint james park
50m nike deal that would shortly follow

add that to cl revenue and increased ticket and sponsors and you up to our level quite easily

But does 130m a year make that much difference? Sounds daft but when you think Liverpool will pull in 600m this year and Newcastle only around 200m .... it will need a lot more than that.

Reasonable gap at our last accounts - circa £200m gross revenue difference.

Next set of accounts due April with first full year of stadium (but not effect of commercial activities increase) due out in 2 months will increase that gap

Who doesn’t? We doesn’t.

Interesting development, down to the wire but a new striker now looks very likely, we have let clubs know that we will consider a six month loan deal for Parrott, why would we do that without cover? I guess any loan is conditional on us bringing in a striker, if we do it makes sense as Parrott would then get zero playing opportunities.

Expectation being Jose or Piatek in as striker.

Or do you think there are other candidates ?

I love that these fuckers don't note actual goals scored; only XG etc. :dawsonlol:

I guess they figure every cunt has access to basic stats like "goals" "assists". This gives you a little more depth and context. People grumble about basic stats like goals, assists, key passes "don't tell you the whole story" or record the pre assist-assist etc. These do.
