Again that's simply untrue our net spend over that period averages 40 million a season and the profits from that time period is about double that, I'm not knocking a 40 million average annual net spend but it's hardly revolutionary for a pl club let alone one that's spent the entirety of that time playing in the Cl
Exactly what I told you ... more than ten times our average net spend for the previous 15 years

FYI - last ten years annual net spend top six ...

Man City 107m (madness)
Man Utd 83m
Chelsea 42m
Woolwich 41m
Liverpool 29m
Spurs 7m

So increasing our net spend to 40m a year is pretty feckin' good don't you think?

Dude you could be right . There could be more long term investment in the team ( not 100% sure) but our policy tends to be 95% prospects .

I feel we must balance this with proven instant quality as we will always be in a state of flux.

Hmm, not really. If the other clubs stopped spending then maybe but they're not and that's why we have fallen behind Liverpool and Citeh.

Come on mate, Levy has fucked it. We had a really good team under a brilliant young coach and just needed to try and bring in 2 or 3 players to add to the squad. Levy bottled it as he's not actually bothered if we win trophies or not.

The day Levy and ENIC finally sell our club will be a very good day imo. Worked wonders with the infrastructure BUT sacked too many managers and spent too much money on dross and dithered way too frequently in the transfer market.

All for ONE measly Carling Cup.

Not good enough mate.

It is.

Our current financial model allows us a net spend of about 100-120m net spend a year. Maybe even as much as 140m if we keep wages and costs low.
