"There's nobody to blame and say you could didn't do your job well or you could do better than you did. Not at all. Again, we don't want a striker to just help us now. We wants a striker to be good for our future, possible to play with Harry Kane together in the future. And with the difficulties of the market, it was very, very difficult to find [one]."

"I'm happy but, yes, it would be better with a striker," Mourinho
Do you believe that?

Do you believe that?
Which bit ?

If you mean this bit in particular;
"I'm happy but, yes, it would be better with a striker," Mourinho

What is there not to believe ?
He was happy AT THE TIME, but of course it would of been better with a striker. Son wasn't injured then (I think ?). He is very experienced, knows the market, and realises that he could of signed a striker in January but not one of the quality he wants and one that would not just be a stop gap.

That is a different thing from saying that Levy STOPPED him from signing one. A joint decision for me.

Do you believe him when he says;

"No one is to blame" ?

Yep.

No, just as I didn't believe some of Poch's statements about being happy. I wouldn't expect him to point any fingers at this stage of his reign.

Is this poster old enough to be on here? Can't we just ban little children? This is beyond pathetic you wouldn't accept it from a ten year old the quality of the graphics, the spacing, the punctuation, the spelling error, the silly little stars, it's just so piss poor.

Yep.

No, just as I didn't believe some of Poch's statement's about being happy. I wouldn't expect him to point any fingers at this stage of his reign.
Fair enough

But how many other team were looking for a striker in January and how many got one, let alone one of quality ?

The argument of "I don't care what other teams do" is, IMO, false in this instance.
As I said earlier, other teams with
a) More spending power
b) More attractive (arguably)
or
c)Both
All failed to get a quality striker in January, so what does that say about the difficulties involved.

It's pretty clear to everyone now that Poch most definately wasn't happy, despite him towing the line and saying so.
The more reasoned on here saw it, remarked on it, and got slaughtered and ridiculed for it by the Levy cultists at the time and the gullible fuckers are already at it again!

It's quite disturbing to be honest

It says that other teams are also bad at scouting maybe.

Problem is Mourinho said he was happy with the squad - whether that was a lie to get the job won't make any difference to Levy, as you say he's a stubborn fucker and will expecting CL football with pretty much the current squad because that's what Mourinho promised.
There’s a difference between “happy with the squad now” than by the start of next season...Also keeping in mind the injuries attained since he took the job.
Levy isn’t naive enough to bring in someone like Jose and not have a plan moving forward beyond this season. And we aren’t naive enough to think that a multi million pound sponsorship deal is going un-noticed by Levy, he’s planning something.....

I think Jose either over estimated the quality of the squad or underestimated the scale of the rebuild needed.
