Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Mario Balotelli, Hatem Ben Arfa, Florin Thauvin and Rademel Falcao

Ring any bells ? All stars in French leagues but flopped in PL
Great. Bet I can't find 4 good signings....
Ben Arfa was great for Newcastle btw.

Nasri, Kante, Bernardo Silva, Mahrez, Fabinho... they export more talent than any other league.

Waiting for Winks the young English, prospect, whizkid, boy-wonder, up and coming, scarlet to come good.

Annnnny day now MOTD told me he's the next Beckham!

Mario Balotelli, Hatem Ben Arfa, Florin Thauvin and Rademel Falcao

All cost multiple millions to PL clubs after being stars in the French leagues

All flops.

Clearly you don't understand basic economics either (on top of no knowledge of football) - Winks comes at almost no cost.

Also a decent player - certainly good enough for our squad.

Buy some decent players to and we have a squad. Buy badly and we don't

Not according to many Newcastle fans - they were hoping for someone a lot better. Which is why he was loaned on to Hull from Newcastle where he didn't play that much before going back to French leagues. But maybe flop was tooo harsh - just not a star

Point being made is that not all English players are great in PL, Neither are all French players.

Something the thread starter didn't understand

Of course not EVERY signing from France works out

But they are the top exporter by numbers and the only club where they consistently flop is here.

We've certainly had some flops such as N'Jie and Nkoudou but we've also had some excellent players such as Llloris.

Reason why they are top exporters is that other than PSG there are no rich clubs in France and hence so many want to move to PL.
