Getting it first before you're just one of millions is probably no bad thing, Arteta has a 99.9% chance of recovering and off course we wish him well, with top class medical treatment even acute cases have been cured ... even with failed lungs you can go on a respirator until they recover ... or in the very worst scenario get a lung transplant.

Moyes right now...........

He’s the manager of West Ham. He always looks like that.

Seriously if the Euros get suspended it gives 6 weeks in the summer to complete season?
Usually a virus is less infectious in hot weather.

According to an expert on viruses this isn’t true. This strand isn’t flu, and will continue to be active regardless of the weather.

It’s a pretty grim watch, but as he says, if he was talking to an expert on the weather who knew a massive storm was coming, and they told him not to worry about it, he’d be pretty angry with them when it hit.

In his view this only stops when enough people have caught it and have immunity.

Donald Trump says the warm weather kills it and after all he is the expert in this field?

He’s the bestest expertener evererer.

He looked and sounded pretty ill in yesterday’s address to the nation. Don’t know if you watched it but he was struggling at times.

As much as I dislike the guy I wouldn’t wish death on him (cue someone finding an old post where I probably did). He’s in a vulnerable position because politicians are representing the people, and therefore in times like this they find themselves exposed. It really wouldn’t surprise me if he knows that he’s got it. His body language is definitely very anxious.

The problem is the UK's "hot weather" may not be hot enough, the virus is transmitted by moisture droplets, in breath, on contact, on surfaces, hot weather and high humidity (where the air is already full of moisture) reduces the chances of contamination ... that's clearly evident in the spread of the virus now. What isn't yet know is how long it will take to stem the tide ... China took four months and a full lock-down of 50m people to bring a measure of control, yet still almost everything in Hubei is shut down ... a similar timescale to that would take the UK through until May/June, and Boris has yet to go full lock-down, if you then had to play eight weeks of this season you would be straight into next season before that's finished ... that would be totally impractical, we'd have half the squad out injured by October.

Who's to say come November there isn't a 'round two' ... until there is a vaccine pretty much no chance any major sport will take place, the risk of high performing athletes with high rates of respiration, that will just remain unacceptable, it only takes one infected and we would be back at square one again.

Vaccine required it's probably that simple.
