Transfers Summer 2020 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't know why people are surprised at the number of signings/sales at this point - in a normal window we wouldn't even be to the end of June yet.

Also, given that half of Europe is still on holiday, it's not a particular surprise that the only business that has been wrapped up is the player we've been reliably linked with for months and a third-choice keeper on a free.

Sure but this is not a normal window, we start playing PL in less than a month, start the EL qualifying early September and have Cup games as well. Also, we have a ton of needs, always here about how impossible it is to get used to the EPL and how hard it is to get a team to gel if guys are coming in late.Add to that the only rumours are the ridiculous Bale/Dybala/Maitland-Niles media garbage and it is concerning.

Could be that there is a ton getting done without the media knowing, could be we pull off a ton of stuff late, but with us needing at minimum a new RB and a back-up striker and ideally another RB, another CB, another CM/AM, there is a lot to get done if we want to attempt to challenge for Top 4 with not much time to do it or a track record of getting stuff done in the transfer window.

It's just so bizarre.

We constantly complain about not signing players, have literally one RB, and everyone (including me) is thrilled to be getting rid of him. Sure, we'll have no RB's but Serge sucks, so....

Aye just play a LB at RB I do it all the time in fifa

If Skipp is on loan, Khedira on a free is worth a shout if he's interested. What could it hurt?

Stuttgart are his boyhood club and just got promoted back to the Bundesliga, one imagines that's where he'll end up, but we'll see.

Scraping around in shit trying to find free cheap players, sure feels like a normal window to me. 🤔

I don't think Khedira has anything left physically and don't see the role he would play on this team.

I would hope we could do better than him at this stage in his career.

What’s even more bizarre is that the club seems hell bent on selling Aurier, our only right back, before signing a right back. Instead of doing what most competent clubs do when building squads and actually strengthen the depth of their ranks. We’re just so inept in the transfer market it honestly just makes me laugh these days when people try and defend it.

If we are selling him we’ll have something teed up. Untwist those knickers
