Apparently the reason the Utd deal is off and we're on pole position is because we are willing to have a buy back clause involved.

I am not sure a back 3 is ideal for Dier, Toby and Sanchez but it would certainly be interesting to see a formation change from the LB hides in our half all game.

I wonder (hope?) if a 5 in midfield would give Jose more confidence to play both GLC and Ndombele at the same time since there would be less defending for Ndombele to do.

Guaranteed profit opportunity for Levy seems like it should suit him just fine. He shouldn't pretend he is a great scout and predictor of football outcomes and scoff at the chance to bring in a better LB just because of a buy-back clause.

And we could rotate Reguillon with Sess, to blood him as a genuine left winger.

If we had a solid enough team to be able to afford "developing" players in low-priority games, that would be great. Unfortunately we do not, and I seriously doubt we'll be able to rotate and offer chances to youngsters without seriously damaging our chances of doing well in whatever competition we decide to do that in.

If Reguilon comes in, I hope we find Sess a season long loan in the Prem/La Liga/Bundesliga, otherwise it will be really hard for him to find enough minutes to progress.
