He seems like he wants to be the next Beckham. Problem is he hasn't done close to enough on the pitch to get a move to Madrid and then go permanently into modeling and fashion, like he's always dreamed of.
 
Reguilon being 23 and already good enough to play makes the buy back more palatable. It isn't like this is a Sessegnon level player where we would just be developing him and losing him once he became good. We would still get good value out of playing him in our first side.

I would obviously prefer to just buy him outright but considering our need at LB I would take him here for a year or two over not having him and playing Davies.

And that also assumes that Real are bringing him back. It is quite possible he is good for us but still not at a level for RM to bring back, although they likely would to just sell him at that point in which case we likely have a good shot to be the ones who buy him.

Reguillon is Madrid paying us 15-20m to develop their player. If he's that good, they'll buy him back to compete with their current LB or sell him on for an enormous fee.

With 50m in hand to buy another LB of our choosing? It'd be a good deal for everyone involved. We've only sold a fullback for over 50m once. If we do it again I'd think Levy would imagine himself some sort of genius. I'm not worried by the prospect of Reguilon being too successful, are you?

35 mill is the new 15. He could be worth 70 plus after a year and we would have to sell him for half. Who do we get next year?

Perceptively and just in terms of cosmetics it would be an appalling signing.

If this club cannot find a young up and coming striker who wants to learn from but also push Kane, or a striker in his late 20s who wants to do similar then we deserve the mid-table status you talk of..

I repeat no disrespect to Deeney intended but we are not yet Burnley or West Ham or it seems worse.
