Five years haha. I'm happy with the transfer but the buy back grates me
If both exist, I’d imagine the buy-back expires at some point during the deal. The pre-emption exists primarily to give RM some option after the buy-back clause expiry.
Now this s deal that I would love to see.
This is what I mentioned earlier - how can you have both pre-emotion and buy back? It doesn’t make sense to me.
I wonder what the buy back clause looks like outside of the amount. When/how can they exercise it, etc...
Sometimes the buy back clause is time limited. Heard something about 35m next year, 40m in two years. Maybe first refusal the next 3?

Buy back is a minimum to activate clause but they hold right of first refusal for anything above that depending on the year, timing, etc...

He has def declined, but we have dramatically changed the way we use him. That little run he had after Jose first got here showed what he offers, but he is a player that needs a manager to use him a certain way.
A lot of people compare him to Mueller, which I get a lot. Two oddly technical players that don't have the purest of strikes, the pace, or the dribbling ability, but have this ability to make things happen. Many thought Mueller was done and then Flick came in and changed everything for the man.
