Isn't the Dele rumour that he is being loaned not sold in a way to help out with the cost of Bale's wages?
Loaning him to them makes sense because he doesn't really fit with our squad right now and there is a chance that he could find some sort of passion again with a Madrid challenge, more likely he just sits on the bench but might as well hope.
I agree if he is sold as part of the Bale move that makes little sense to me.
What do we lose, though? We loan him to Real, he explodes (unlikely, don’t see where he fits into the team) and his value increases. He doesn’t do that well, they send him back and at the very least he’s seen what a dressing room at the highest level operates like and grows up a little.

After today's events I don't have a firm idea of what Spurs will or will not do at this point.
