He needs to take the opposition on and create goals like Reguilon does. He passed back for safety too much when I have seen him.
100%. Has the potential, pace and ability to do it but just always played safe, percentage football. Needs some confidence and to trust himself. Hopefully comes back a more determined and resilient player...

Came on with 10 minutes to go vs Dortmund today with Hoffenheim just after going a goal down. Played LB. They normally play with wing backs but seemed to change into a back 4 with the substitutions. Encouraging performance from him, 2 or 3 impressive overlapping runs and a clever pass down the line, took on his man successfully twice. What little crowd was there seemed excited when he got on the ball. Good start for him, hopefully he can keep it up.

Yeah - I was surprised to see him successfully take on his man and make some aggressive runs.

Will be hard for him to dislodge Skov who has turned into a really good LWB for Hoffenheim - but they've got Europa League coming up and a good opportunity for Sess.

He played left centre back in a three for a while due to an injury and red card. When they conceded the second he went LB of a 4 .They were unlucky, the penalty (UB's second goal) was never a foul and the third was on a break in the 93rd minute. Sess seemed to be doing well enough, though I didn't see the full 90mins.
