So we need to find a replacement for a player we don't play???!!?
:bergwijnconfused:More importantly - who's going to replace Dele as Mourinho's personal punchbag?

Moura
Who would that be?I'd certainly like to find an alternative HG player who is as good or better than Dele - whether as an AM to rely less and upgrade on Lamela or Moura or as a CM so as to rely less and upgrade on Sissoko especially if Lo Celso injuries continue.
With the number and frequency of matches we need all the rotation options we can get especially if we pick up any injuries
Preferably by getting a large fee for Dele, as I doubt if we can loan in a replacement of that calibre.

Where is the money? But more seriously, some real ambition would be signing Grealish even now. Mourinho has earned it, I think.
Villa are in the middle of a potential Europa qualifying season...no way they're selling Grealish in January, be realistic. But more seriously, some real ambition would be signing Grealish even now. Mourinho has earned it, I think.
Well what jose did with tanguy worked so maybe he thought it might work with deleA really good point.
Meant in the summer. Article says we won't sell until we replace him, I think. So loan is fine.Villa are in the middle of a potential Europa qualifying season...no way they're selling Grealish in January, be realistic.
Well, Utd walked away from buying him because they thought the cost of the deal thought to be at £227m was a bit on the pricey side, has opened the door for us I suppose....Sancho....and erm...maybe come back in a week when other names may come to mind ? !
