It depends what people want from a striker. I studied this guy hard earlier in the season in the CL. There is good and bad. Electric pace, so he'll give you that threat in behind/create anxiety in defenders, and he is happy to work his cock off when it comes to pressing. The flipside is that he is actually a relatively poor footballer, so things like ball control and link-play/awareness of his colleagues are not great. I did not look at his stats, but what I observed was a guy that was snatching at (and fluffing) goal-scoring opportunities when they came his way.
So, I think what you're looking at is a player in the mould of an Aubameyang or a Werner (and I am sure the goals will come again for Werner). Not without value. If they play for us, we look for the positives. If they play for Chelsea or Woolwich, we are laughing at them, and saying if they don't score, then they bring very little.
