Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He looks completely fucking demoralised and tired of this team.

Well if you'd been carrying them for years like he has i guess it would get a bit draining after a while.

They're fantastic achievements. When I look back at the end of my career, these are all the things I'll go over and take in a little bit more, but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies.

"As much as this is great, I want to be winning the biggest team prizes. We're not quite doing that. It's bittersweet, but it is what it is. I'm proud to win [this one], it's been a good season on the pitch.

"[Heung-Min] Son has been incredible. We have a really good connection, a really good understanding. We get on really well on and off the pitch. We're good friends and I'm happy to see him playing well too.

"I'm from London, so growing up and having that local feeling, there is nothing better than playing for your local team, the ones you have been brought up around.

"London will always have a special place in my heart. It's where I'm from and where a lot of my family are from. It's a special award to win for sure.

"There are so many great players based in London. To win this award is a great achievement."

He mentions not only wanting team trophies but also how London is special. that only leaves Chelsea and he would be hated if he went there and he is a Spurs supporter.

Winning always feels a little hollow when you crank the difficulty level down to EASY though, doesn't it? The only trophy City can win that's meaningful is the CL, really. Everything else is failure if they don't win.

I've always thought that Kane considered 1 trophy at Spurs to be significantly more meaningful than several trophies at City or even United. He may leave, because he may feel like that trophy isn't going to happen now. But I think if you gave him the choice between winning the league once at Spurs or 4 times at City, I think he'd choose Spurs.

I agree, but he's got to be getting close to leaving. Its like when Ray Borque left the Bruins after like 20 years and went to Colorado.

Well after how long one of the best players in the world has stayed with a shit owner club, he does deserve to win something at a club that cares about winning over profit. Cunts like Bale ran away at hte first chance they got, Kane has given many many years to us.
I won't deny that someone of his quality should have more medals to show for his talent. However, I won't ever be onboard with the notion that tge club should 'do the decent thing' and allow him to leave so that he can go and win some titles that City will win with or without him.

No one forced him to sign his contract, and if he was that intent on getting them by any means necessary he should have either not signed on or insisted on a release clause.

He's not some poor sap being abused by his employers.

It will be a sad day for THFC if this happens, but I also see it as a turning point for something new.

Of course it will be a hard road, one where we most likely see Kane win trophy after trophy.

But, for me, there is excitement in rebuilds. Call me crazy, but if we were to go with a Rangnick as a DOF with some money in his pocket, I wouldnt feel too shitty.

But the pieces need to fall in place.

There is no excitement in rebuilding under ENIC. Our scouting is terrible, most of our signings ending up failing to impress, they wouldn't know what to do with the money if they had to spend.

Not only that but Kane is irreplaceable at this level, for me he is the best striker in world football and he also leads by example.

If we lose him it's going to take years to rebuild just to where we are at this current moment, I don't trust our owners to rebuild, I don't trust them with the club and if we lose Kane we will be in utter disrepair imo.

We better hope we can keep him for the sake of the club.

If he wants a pay rise then he wants a pay rise, I've no qualms with that, what does annoy me is fans advocating for him as if he's some PoW that should be freed from the torture of ONLY earning £200k per week.
It's unfair if he is making below market wages compared to his contribution and value. It's not about being close to starvation.

The money he isn't making is just going straight to ownership. It's not going to the homeless.

The only way I would be excited about an ENIC rebuild is if Levy resigns or brings in a DOF with real authority (i.e. if Levy stays in a figurehead CEO role and the DOF has complete control over footballing decisions). Otherwise we're going to be in serious trouble and we'll be left with options that are comfortable working under Levy.

I think Harry is gone either way unfortunately.

Resigned myself to it now.
I love Harry, and he is up there with my favourite players to ever wear our shirt, not the favourite, but in the top 5.
Yet even i am getting bored with this every season. So this year it may happen.
Oh well, i wont nearly cry like i did when Pat Jennings left.Life goes on,as unpleasant as this will be.
Personally i am more depressed finding out Britney Spears is 40 this year!!!
How did that happen? She should still be about 23/24...

As with any player ( ANY player ) the minute they leave, fuck them. I hope they fail.

Kane wants to think about every single supporters feelings and not add to the sense of doom and gloom. Go speak to levy and sort it out with him on our behalf. We can’t do anything about that.

and unless I am missing something I have seen Kane in cup finals and fail to turn up at all - including in Madrid.

Yeah i'll agree. Why these effing interviews.
Just refuse to answer and talk about his personal award.
Easy for me to say,as i am not the England Captain, but as a fan,its how i feel.

Ill piss myself if they don’t win it this year.
