Conte's a strange one. Great record at times, but I'm not sure about someone who wears someone else's hair

Who ever Levy appoints I hope he can work miracles or at least remove curses. We must be cursed.
In the last 2 seasons we’ve seen Lpool who we consistently finished above win the CL and League.
This season we have to endure the prospect of
Man City (on a treble) or Chelski lift the CL
Leicester or Chelski lift the FA Cup
West Ham finishing above us and possibly on for top 4
Woolwich in with a chance for the Europa and CL participation.
Its absolute bollocks. Only glad Covid meant we weren’t there to see the shite football under Jose. Season from hell.

In that order.

More chance of a tosser like me managing Spurs than a fair few on that list.

As good as he is at getting the job done, I’m pretty sure Conte at Spurs with this squad, would bring many of the same issues we’ve had with Mourinho. He’s incredibly morose and truculent, his football ethos has some tactical similarities, in spirit anyway, it’s certainly pretty conservative, he will hang players out publicly and fall out with them, he is constantly at loggerheads with his owners and complains tirelessly about transfer activity, no matter how much he gets backed, so you can imagine how much he’d be whining as our manager.

To do what he’s done at Inter with only one better resourced club in Italy and that club was going through a difficult phase, I really don’t think you’ll be able to do in this league, with a club like ours with a whole bunch of better and similar resourced clubs to duke it out with.

No thanks from me.

Ali Gold thinks we’re gonna go all out for Rodgers or go for someone that isn’t in the media limelight at the moment.

In other words no one has a fucking clue

Watching that now. I do enjoy the things he's clearly been fed by club insiders: that Mason has basically got us set up to train like Poch did (that showed on Sunday) and that the line from the club is that they want to have a new manager announced before the end of the season.

I feel like the latter may be a bit of an ask, but perhaps it can give an indication of who they're trying for.

Ali G tends to be sceptical to all reports that come from distant shores so I would take it with a bit of salt.

He's reliable but mainly because he gets fed info from the club when it suits them. He doesn't seem to have his own sources outside of the club unlike other journalists. He always tends to play down rumours that start in other countries until he gets some form of confirmation from the club that it has legs. Bergwijn being the perfect example.
It's a funny one: if you take Ally Gold and Fabrizio Romano you get most of the picture. Gold doesn't really know anything from the Italy side of things and (somewhat rightly) views their press as a bit batty, though nothing can be as bullshit as the Turkish press in my opinion, whereas Romano tends to be well connected on the Italian side of things.
