They can just do the interviews and photos in Italy with him. That makes no sense.
Like I said. Just do it on Zoom and pay a Italian photographer to take some photos.

I don't think they will let something like this stand in their way.

"The club can confirm the signing of Antonio Conte as its new head coach. Antonio will fly in to London at the earliest opportunity and take charge of first team training once his mandatory quarantine period has expired. Chris Powell and Ledley King will lead first team training until Conte is cleared to enter Hotspur Way".

Obviously the players are on vacation so there won't be any training. But it doesn't have to be harder than that.

I only want him if it is Conte coming in.

If it is Conte coming in now he is going to be the most powerful football guy at the club anyways. I think even if you brought in a Campos or Rangnick at the same time, unless Conte says he wants to work with them, it would be a disaster.

So we might as well go with a guy that Conte is happy with and has worked with in the past. I would much rather Paratici handling transfers with Conte in charge than Hitchens.
I only want a good DoF (and manager), that's all I care about. I'm not saying anything about this guy, I literally know fuck all about him. All I've done is take a quick look at what he's done for Juve and can't say I'm impressed (but don't want to knee jerk as I don't know the context etc).

The relationship with Conte might be "good" because he's Conte's puppet? (this is just me mixing it up, I've no idea if that's the case or not but from what we know about Conte that's an entirely possible assumption).

I am certainly no expert on him and part of the issue will be that he worked so long with Marotta was he a key cog in the success of him or just riding along on his coattails?

For me he seems competent at the least. Some of his time at Juventus is not great but I think that unlike Hitchen he would provide a level of competence we haven't had for awhile.

I am not sure if he would be Conte's puppet so much as a guy that Conte can work with, which has to be a consideration considering Conte's past.

For me, ideally we would bring in a Rangnick or Campos and give them total control to revamp the whole club right down to the academy, and let them chose their manager. But that isn't going to happen, Levy has had every chance and every reason to do this and has chose not to. So working with that reality I think that a Conte-Paratici combination is likely the best case scenario with under Levy.

Conte has me excited for what he can do, if we don't get him no matter who we get ill be disappointed
Conte is an EXCELLENT coach. If he doesn't become Spurs manager though there's a big upside, the football would be more enjoyable to watch under many of the other coaches mentioned (it might not be as winning).

Hiring Conte is another attempt to get this team "to the next level". I'm in absolutely no doubt he'll do miles better than the dinosaur because he's a far better coach than the dinosaur, more accurately he's more relevant today than him (they are both passive in how their teams play though).

Also, with the others linked there is a chance that we can rebuild something more tangible than the here and now, as in 3yrs from now Conte would have gone in some monumental spat and we would be still looking to rebuild the team.

Conte plays attacking football, it isn't passive imo. He had a high pressing side before and even at Chelsea he was playing an attacking brand of football, miles better than the dinosaur like you said.

I think he will take us to the next level, although I said that about Jose lol.
