I don't think there's much soul to the way Enic do things either. "Doing it the right way" as people often say just means charging the fans some of the highest prices to watch players that aren't as good as those at other clubs, just so that Lewis doesn't have to put much/any of his own money in whilst owning an asset that grows as the Premier League does likewise. As an added bonus, we get to win nothing.

Good to see where you stand morally pal.

Lewis can't put in any of his own money, even if he wanted to. FFP and all. So slagging Lewis and ENIC in that area doesn't make any sense.

The point is there are also many reports of Poch being stubborn on transfers and turning down players who turned out to be good.
Poch is a pain in the ass to work with and has a poor record as a talent scout in the transfer market. I have no problem placing a healthy amount of blame at his feet for some of the problems we had during his reign.

But the 18 month transfer freeze was such a colossal organizational failure for the club, such an unforgivable fuck-up at board level, that in order to continue to support Levy as many fans want to do for a variety of reasons, there has to be some exterior cause generated to hold Levy totally blameless in the entire incident.

We all know priceless magic was destroyed when that happened, we willfully jumped off of heights we will likely never reach again, so Levy bearing any responsibility can't be squared with continued support for Levy, something has to be invented to fill that gap. Enter Poch exercising transfer refusal powers he never had at the 11th hour for no reason, twirling his mustache with an evil grin, no doubt.

It is a total canard generated to fill a vacuum in an argument people insist on holding to one side of, and I'm sick and tired of hearing it, and doubly sick and tired of it being repeated so often it starts to go unchallenged because "everybody knows it".

Fuck it, all in on it being Conte. Would’ve liked to see Poch back but maybe it’s too soon.

I remain convinced he will re join us one day.

Conte is an exciting appointment though! Hope he rips our players apart tbh.
If he turns down the managers job,I think we should still pay him to take a few training sessions so he can kick shit out of some of the lackluster gits we have on the books.

Im expecting to start the season without kane. How on earth is Levy going to give the manager a warchest of monies without selling kane. Wheres the money going to come from?
