In no way defending ENIC, but there was this followup comment on the 30 million:

So with a net figure of zero we can thank our lucky stars that this club has received joint 15th most owner financing since 2014.

I'd like to see these figures as a proportion of fan base-linked revenue (including any bonuses in sky sports fees that we get for being a large and loyal fan base).

ENIC have hit a goldmine with this fan base and club stature, and managed to convince the same fan base that they should fear the possibility of other owners.

I'd love to get in a time machine and go forward 30 years to see what the area around the ground is like.I am convinced Tottenham will be an entertainment hub, hotels casinos and a 60k concert venue. That also plays football there on occasion.
As i said elsewhere,i really think ENIC are creating an entertainment empire.
Who'd have thunk it in little ol N17.

If it was really as bad as the twitterati say it is, Levy would have been fired a long time ago.

Anyway I'm up for the new season, hopefully we get to some home games and we finish top 4.

This folks is whats called 'shilling', or in simple terms, pretending to be someone you're not in order to push a particular narrative for financial benefit.

You'll see it everywhere on the internet these days if you look hard enough.

Oh please, stop being condescending, if anything the fact that Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman IS concerned about the state of the club should be a wake up call to you but you just seem to be doubling down in your efforts to defend the indefensible.

You have hit on every single point bar FFP as an excuse for our utter failures time and time again, the one person you refuse to blame, even if your life depended on it, is Daniel Levy, the architect of our failures or ENIC for their greed.

There will always be another excuse, managers, outside factors, players, anybody but the top brass right?

If all else fails and you run out of ways to defend Levy and ENIC your response is to speak in a condescending manner to them, tell them to "calm down" or "be patient" or "have some faith" you act like many of us haven't supported Spurs the last 30 odd years and haven't seen this happen time and time again whenever Levy creates another failure (which he has created, make no mistake about it, all of this downfall from the Poch ERA is of his own making, failing to back the manager at imperative times, penny pinching when we should have been pushing forward etc.)

You just spent two paragraphs saying that we were so close to a top four finish and the reason we didn't get it was Mourinho, that's fair enough I don't disagree with that, he was part of the problem for sure.

But then you go on to say "we just need 2 or 3 new players in defence and midfield and a clear out and everyone's outlook will change" isn't that a self-admittance that the squad isn't good enough?

Seems pretty contradictory to suggest it was all down to the manager we didn't get top four and then go on to say we need half the team replacing (which we know isn't going to happen so let's not even start to delude ourselves into thinking it will.)

Then, to top it all off, you directly follow that with a light tap on the wrist for Levy and saying:

"Sure Levy has made mistakes but the problems on the field last year were down to Mourinho"

Umm, just out of curiosity, who hired Mourinho again? Who chose to stand against the board who were suggesting more attack minded coaches and decided to hire a manager for no reason other than his own ego?

Yeah, but Levy has just "made mistakes" the REAL problem was everything else surrounding the club.

Maybe you should start letting YOUR ego go and start looking at things critically and impartially and seeing what the real problem is at this football club? I mean, Levy hires all these failures and yet Levy is the only one who never falls on the sword? When will you hold HIM accountable?

It's been months we have gone without a manager now, our best player wants to leave the football club, he sacked the best manager we have had in years in Poch because he didn't want to spend the money required to make us competitive, he has ripped the fans off time and time again, he lies and he keeps getting away with it.

You should be worrying about yourself and your own opinions rather than Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman the fact that you feel the need to call her out like that because she's formed her own opinion based on the evidence speaks volumes imo.

Normally I wouldn't speak up but I feel like Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman is a voice of reason on here and she is a dedicated supporter of the club that has poured her hard-earned money into it for many years, she is articulate and I know it would take an awful lot for her to form this kind of opinion against the ownership.

The fact that she is fed up should be a red flag for all of us and a sign that we need to speak up against this ownership and chairman for making the supporters of this club feel like they have been left behind and lied to.
Bravo

The obsession with a big name really baffles me. As fans are we that stupid, big name, big name, Hollywood, blah, blah, blah.

Our big name managers have all disappointed, Jose, AVB and Graham. Our emergency managers or more low key like Jol, Redknapp and Poch have been our best. We work on tight budgets, often leave holes in the team and have to use to some degree youth players, combine this with as Levy called our ‘’DNA’’, which in short is attacking football and our fans (match day going fans) inability to suffer boring football.

This means we are only suited to an attacking manager who can work with both good but also average players and isn’t afraid of using youth to build a squad over the long term. That means on the list of managers we have been linked with Ten Hag and Potter along with obviously Pochettino clearly fit the design.

The likes of Nuno and yes much as he is brilliant Conte don’t, that’s just the way the club and ownership is set up. What is odd is that our ownership doesn’t understand our ownership and thinks a short term cheque book manager will work as a project manager at a club without a cheque book.

I cannot get my head around ENIC’s lack of understanding of themselves and the club they run and to some degree our own fans lack of understand that someone like Conte wouldn’t work with us. The ownership, the fans, we need to look in the mirror at this club as it is and then appoint a manager that best fits. This will only change if ENIC leave.

You have literally described Eddie Howe there

Do you know anything about the ownership of the club? Wtf

sacked by who? levy owns a third of the club, he’s accountable to no-one

staggering that some people have no fucking clue

And if you knew anything about business you would know a chairman can be sacked and it doesn't matter if he owns a third of the club, that means he doesn't own 2 thirds.

Like you say staggering that some people have no clue.

When I have had engagement with the THST I have found Martin to be a polite, engaged and positive person. I do think they have a reasoned approach. However, as much as I wish this was not true, THFC is a private business and you cannot make demands upon private business for influence. Only money is going to move them.
