I've had reservations about several management appointments over the years.

One manager I had significant reservations about was Harry Redknapp who had a pretty bad reputation for leaving clubs on their knees when he departed (cough Portsmouth Bournemouth West Ham), and other issues. But I must confess I was agreeably surprised at him at Spurs, despite assuming that he had been brought in as a stop gap to ensure we got nowhere close to relegation (the fear when he was hired) he got us playing great football and into CL (with a couple of rocky issues along tyhe way including allegations he tried to offload a certain Gareth Bale at a knock dowm price !). Had it not been his dalliance with the 'Harry to England' rumours which derailed his last season, I think we'd have enjoyed his reign for a couple more seasons.

So with that kind of experience behind me, whilst I have some reservations about Nuno, and think he may be here to help rebuild the squad with our new Managing Director of Football before moving on in a couple of years, I fully intend to get behind him and see where he takes us over the next year or two.

Several positives including managing in PL before (so knows the opposition standards) etc, so lots of positives ......

I'm kind of hoping ENIC will be gone by then. Now the genie is out the bottle, there's no way they're gonna do what it takes to get it back in.
One good thing to come out of this appointment, if it happens, is that it will hopefully hasten their departure.
They may decide to sell while they can still make a huge, unprecedented profit rather than risk their assets depreciating on the back of serious fan unrest.
I hope you’re right but I fear Super Dan will think he’s got the stuff to prove all us idiots and literally everyone with even a passing interest in football wrong. His way of course.

Since when did fans start thinking that they had any influence on club decisions. They actually think #NoToGattuso actually worked...There's no fucking way he was ever a serious contender and now they're all #NoToNuno...what the fuck did he ever do?

Look on the bright side he’s only gonna be here 18months 2years tops as will the next sap that Levy reels in, that’s a modern day times scale of managers less the chairman/board give them an open cheque book…..

as a said 18months 2years :levylol:

They may they may not but you would assume any club would want some from of intelligent on what the fans are thinking. Levy’s DNA speech clearly referenced that he knew things where not right between the club and the fans.

As for Nuno he seems a very nice guy but he plays Jose dinosaur football, it would be a horrible appointment.

Imagine if someone had told you ten years ago that Mourinho would be our manager but he wouldn't be here longer than 18 months...

The only bit of fan thinking they give a shit about is whether they're thinking about renewing their season ticket or not...

If you haven’t been to the first game you can cancel and get your money back. By the Spurs of things the club is having issues with selling season tickets right now and offering them to people way down the list.

Well, he's a better human being than Mourinho was. It's a low bar, but at least he clears it. He's not incompetent, but he does not fit the criteria the club mentioned, nor does he promise to make us better. And if the candidate needs to be unattached to a club, then why Nuno and not Favre or Valverde is a question someone needs to answer.

Are the 23 of you who voted yes just trolling, or do you actually think this is a good appointment? If so, I'd genuinely be very curious to hear why.
