Has to be said that Pickford has looked a world-class goalkeeper this tournament. Now that he's calmed himself down a bit and doesn't allow himself to get so emotional he looks a lot better for it. Stones and Maguire have been absolutely rock solid too. You'll always concede a few chances against the top sides but considering the defense was supposed to be our weak point, Southgate has got it absolutely bang on so far at that end of the pitch. So credit where it's due.
Tell that to a non-Germany fan in around 1990 and they'd have you lynched.
We have the best defence in the tournament. Just need to get that attack firing and we will be VERY hard to beat.

Kane should really turn up now he has a goal at last and a massive weight off his shoulders. That will make a big difference to our attack and the players around him. We're never going to attack the way we would all like to see us attack under Southgate. But we really haven't seen Kane, Foden and Mount at the tournament yet.
We're good, solid, difficult to beat. We could be very, very good.

We've come through a difficult group and an incredibly difficult last 16 and our star man has averaged probably a 6
If he gets back on form to a 7 or 8 then God knows what can happen.
