GLC is a great player but is he fit enough for the EPL?
Shit or bust season for him.
Was excellent last night any time he got the ball. The game was very fractured, 70 free kicks over the course of the game and as result it was impossible to sustain long periods of possession or sustained attack, but Gio put together some great passages of play and was tenacious in battling for loose possession.

All down to fitness. If he can stay fit he can be a really top class player. If he can't we should move on from him next summer.

Dav, Dav Dav,

:mourfacepalm:

Bring Skipp in but we still need another CM. Lo Celso, Skipp, Ndombele, Hojbjerg and new signing would be fine.
If Paratici and Nuno have anything about them they should be moving heaven and earth to get Winks and Sissoko out of this club and use the funds for a new midfielder.

Otherwise it's not going to fix our midfield if the others have to keep doing overtime to make up for the inadequacies of those 2 charlatans.

It's certainly a logical move to make.

bus-conductor bus-conductor - is that Kessie bloke a proper 6? ....Got linked the other day; dunno if you noticed.

It is no coincidence that he's looked better playing as an 8 in a CM3 for Argentina, something he's rarely done at Spurs. Same Ndombele. Get both of these either side of a decent 6 and we'd have a midfield.

So far over the 2 seasons that both Ndombele and Lo Celso have been at Spurs neither have lived up to their previous reputation - put the 'best performances' of both of them together and we'd still have a slightly underwhelming player.

No surprise that under Poch Ndombele virtually never completed 90 minutes, usually pulled off after 45/60 minutes (despite arriving with a full pre-season at Spurs) and Lo Celso only played a couple of times for Poch - had a good run of about a dozen games under Mourhino just after Mourhino arrived but that run was never repeated.

So its crazy to plan on using both in the side, more sensible to assume one rotates with the other - and if they are fit enough and good enough that will show through

What's crazy is that we have hardly ever tried these two in the format that both would be best in.

Neither fit or on form at the same time regularly to try it consistently =- and that precisely makes my point

No it doesn't. You said better that they rotate with each other. They've done that plenty. Playing them in CM2 format doesn't get the best to of either of them. Until we get to see them used in a completely different system, one which both have proven independently of each other to excel in, it's stupid to write them off.
