Tomiyasu - Romero - Rodon - Reguilon is a very young / inexperienced back four.

I like Rodon, but it's a tough one. I just can't imagine it's in the plans for him to be a starter in 20+ league games this year. I'm dreading consistent Dier starts. Wouldn't rule out Paratici going for some 26-29yo based in Italy to partner Romero for the year (if he signs) just to have an experienced head.
I'm expecting they will get sliced up.

Just a bit OTT.

Frankly, I think Diet's greatest potential was squandered in those years when he absolutely had no idea where he was supposed to be playing. It's kind of absurd but I think his first appearances for us were at RB.
The DM experiment did mess things up. But I really just think he doesn't have the cerebral understanding of the game to be a very talented CB or CDM.

Let's hope us playing tanganga at both rb and CB doesn't have similar poor impact on his growth.

Francisco Reis Ferreira - been on the radar for a while ... was once rated at 60m now he can't get into Valencia or Benfica's starting eleven ... loan to buy deal being looked at, still only 24.

I am amazed at how quiet you guys are about Marcel Sabitzer. Before the transfer window opened he was seen as the "savior" ... 🤔
But that changed fast once Romero came to the scene...
It seems as if many Spurs fans have a "messiah" syndrome 😁

Football in Portugal is run by agents who, in collaboration with the clubs, are selling a "hype" - a hype that highly inflates the price of all the players in that league. And they are very good at it.
A few years ago, f.ex., William Carvalho was valued at £40,m and Gedson Fernandes was valued at around £35m.
True, in a few cases the "hype" does match the real value - like, Cristiano Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias - but in most cases, they are not reflecting the quality and potential of the player.
Francisco Reis Ferreira is now 26 years old, and only played 3 games for Valencia the half-season he played for them and he's not played even 1 game for Portugal.

I hope your right

Doesnt change the fact that we are two weeks away from kick off and we don't have a single new player ready to come into the first 11 as well as our biggest weakness last season now being even weaker

It is not defendable

Bit like our defence funnily enough
The Romero cock-up is indefensible

He's already back training with Atalanta - scenes

Where are you two getting this?

Where are you two getting this?
Goes back to 2019 when the 85m release clause ended that thinking .... however we made an enquiry last year before he went on loan to Valencia ... that move went badly wrong and he hardly played last season, now back at Benfica he still has three years on his contract so a loan would make sense for both clubs.

He's a 6'4" centre back with decent feet ... not sure what when wrong last year but for not much money he might be worth a look, certainly someone Paratici would be well aware off and like about 100 other players his agent has got a call ...

Paratici is renowned for this, more balls in the air than Alex Barron - Ferro's 24 Mar 26, 1997
