The moment Kane showed genuine world class ability was the moment Levy was prepared to sell him. We’re a selling club, despite Levys bluster and routine act. This is all just theatre. I cant believe the shit im seeing. People basically calling Kane a mercenary. How quickly fans are to forget the past. Kane has played out of his skin for the best part of 8 years. Grown up similar age watching him. Hasnt had a real break in that time. Is consistently top 3 scorer in the PL each season. Is on far lower wages than his competitors at his level of football. Comparing football clubs to companies is just so fundamentally wrong. I don't think there is 60k people outside of Google's HQ every weekend cheering on workers that grew up in their offices.

Why are we even supporting a football club if everything is industrialised and just about money? But tbh you do have a point and I feel the same way. Watching football today is massively different to just 10-15 years ago, I felt a much bigger betrayal when Berbatov forced a move to Man Utd than what Kane is doing now. We’d all love Kane to stay and continue to score goals for fun but unfortunately this has been a long time coming and im honestly surprised he didnt leave post-pochettino. People are blaming Kane but we all know its much bigger than that. If it was any other player id be singing the same song but Kane is different. The guy wants to win trophies.

We are a club owned by an investment company (my eyes are wide pen to that)... They will one day sell for a profit (again, no shit!).... And we'll be left in a better shape that the run-down shell of a club that we were when they arrived.

I've enjoyed more of the interim ride than not...... Shame if you haven't.

So taking that onboard it would require a club to make an offer somewhere within that 130-160m range for Kane or Levy to even have a discussion about Kane leaving, that's not yet happened.

exactly that was my argument. Modric still left. Doesnt matter who he fucking went to does it the fact remains he wanted out from spurs and got his wish. Never saw him in a spurs shirt again.
