Don't you worry. Our talisman will be out the door either this year or next.
It's been coming for years but whenever it was brought up that he would leave one day due to the lack of trophies people brought up the training ground, the stadium, we'll keep qualifying for the CL, it's his boyhood club, we're not a selling club etc. We can't even get one striker let alone two.

The money wouldn't come around again because he'll be another year older with another year less remaining on his contract.
Unless he scored 50 goals and won the player of the year award, which he won't, his value will go down, not up.

I'd love to see Kane see out his 3 years at 100% but he wants out. And the only way he'll get out is to be as much of a pain in everyone's arse as he can.

And this may start the ball rolling for a sea change in contracts and transfers.

Put the boot on our foot- how many times has a player wanted to come to Spurs but we've just been priced out of it?

So if I would escalate this to absurdity, then you would say that if currently City would offer 50 mil for him, we should take it anyway, right? Because for the reasons you mentioned, this season is the best opportunity to sell him and in the future he will be worth less...

Value of an asset is always combination of it's intrinsic value and demand. This season we can see that for whatever reason, there is not enough demand for one of the best players in the game.
But situations change. Many things could cause a ripple-effect what comes to top striker demand -
- PSG might loose Mbappe and they need a new superstar without counting money
- Real Madrid might not get Mbappe nor Haaland, have weak results and want a new Galactico
- ManU might just nearly miss out on some trophy, loose Pogba and want to take step forward and sign Kane
- City does not seem to get a striker in and might once again just nearly loose out in CL and next year can come back for Kane...

I mean there are lot of possibilities. It is not as linear nor simplistic that his value will surely decrease.

Anyone you think is a replacement for Kane is already being looked at by half of Europe.

While we act like little bitch mother fuckers, they'll get snapped up.
Then we'll lose Kane.

Agreed, if we end up with another Frazier Campbell situation, the fans should protest. This is Levy’s chance to make things right. You either keep Kane and Improve the team around him. Or if he’s going, we make sure we rebuild with quality. Get this sorted Spurs ffs

I also just read that Inter still owes Man Utd around £47m for Lukaku...
First one I googled but at the beginning of the year they were likely going bust as the Chinese government put restrictions on Chinese companies funding.

No, because you have to weigh off what we as a club can and can't afford to lose out on.

Tomyasu/Doherty, Dier/Romero/Rodon/Davies, Regi/Sess

That would seem to be the defensive line for the season.. not bad!
Midfield would be the one ringing all the alarm bells.
Without a quality DM and being linked to noone of that nature is distressing. It can't just be Skipp all by himself

Makes me a little nervous to be honest...

Doherty - Utter shit
Dier - Shit
Rodon - We don't know yet. Promising but worrying if a starter
Davies - Average at best but useful
Romero - Excellent signing on paper, but may need to adapt
Tomyasu - No idea to be honest so no comment
Reguilon - Defensively awful for 6 months. High ceiling but actually worries me more than excites me right now
Sessegnon - Can only hope last season translates to this season, again more hopefully than confident

I expect we'll sign another sub-20m CB. Somebody like Milenkovic/Kabak, or one not yet linked.

If we decide to loan out Skipp whilst shitters like Winks and Sissoko are still at the club then I fucking give up...

Fuck the established pecking order, literally any of our academy players would be a step up from Sissoko, even if only because they could actually improve with the game time.

We're investing in Tangangas future.... it's got nothing to do with a pecking order.

There's no correlation between him and those you mentioned.

Basically we need to be buing some serious fucking quality over the next 3 weeks either way, no point in stubbornly holding onto Kane and persevering with some of the duffers we currently have, if we're going to make him stay then we need to be trying to convince him that we're heading in the right direction again and maybe make him reconsider his stance.

His standing with the fans is blown now, he'll never fully recover that imo, but we'd soon forgive him to an extent if he stayed and carried on his scoring.

Of course, the fact that once again we are left with gaping holes in our squad and only a few weeks left to address them is all too pathetic and predictable, not like we've had 2 months to be cracking on with it already.
