I don't doubt that Levy's done something here to upset Kane. But I'd say Kane's been badly advised by not turning up for training.
Kane struck me as someone who cared about his reputation. Sure, we're angry with him now, but 99% of fans loved him. He was one of our own. He can leave, but he can leave and keep his reputation in tact. Unfortunately, he's already damaged that and whatever the outcome here, I think he'll look back and regret that one day.
What bothers me now is the disruption to our pre-season, the lack of respect shown towards the club, the fans, his teammates and the new manager. They haven't even spoke yet? That speaks volumes, as Kane has no intention of playing for him.
This club is bigger than Kane. We loved him once. But one thing is for sure, this has to be resolved quickly. Dragging it on until the last minute is only going to cause further disruption to the team. And if he is going, we need time to bring in a 'replacement'.
