Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I still don't think he is the player he was from 2015 to 2018. I just saw his 100 club goals thing on Sky and look back at his movement and finishing then, his finishing was much more varied and whilst never quick he moved much easier. I know his stats from last season were superb but still don't think he is as good. He got that injury at the start of 2019 and imo hasn't been as sharp since. Still the best striker in the league, still got another 2 or 3 years at the very top but i maintain its the right time to sell if the price is right and have thought that even before this latest saga.
Yeah less & less mobile with each injury. They have taken its toll. Always be a great finisher though. But his movement & sharpness will decline. & at anytime he could break an ankle & be out for quite a while.

...except for the fact that he has known for a year of Harry's intentions yet here we are...and...

Yes, 100M is a reasonable offer IMO. If he feels he can get more then that's on him but as always this shit isn't done heading into a new season. And City's Grealish offer seems to be 75M + 25M addons. And who is to say what the value of a 29yo striker with bad ankles, limit mobility, and a penchant for tapins is? Is there an index you can point me toward? I'd snatch your hand off for Grealish + 25M and 25M and move on.
He can't make City pay a reasonable fee, it of his control, so it doesn't matter how long he's known Harry wanted to leave.

You're literally rooting against the best interest of Spurs just because you want to see Levy "lose". Step outside and have a word with yourself. Levy is a cunt. But he isn't wrong in this situation.

To prove collusion, Harry would have to demonstrate that City were involved too (alongside all other Premier League clubs) leading to the amusing situation of bringing legal accusations against a club he’s pestering to join.

For all the noise around this Webster stuff, it just looks like a bog standard ability to buy yourself out of a contract. In Kane’s case, it would be tens and tens of millions.

You don’t really need a legal ruling to do that, you just need to stump up the cash.
Can't speak for England but MLB was hammered for collusion and I don't think you need to demonstrate for every constituent entity in order to prove it. If enough do it it still restricts his movement.

And as far as City is concerned who would be able to buy themselves out of a City contract? Not sure it would be in their interest anyway to be party to such things.

What you mean is its full of knob heads. Seriously, the way some people are showing aggression to a poster who's just signed up, just because they are upset over Harry Kane is both cringe-worthy and sad. Come across as nothing but complete low-life knuckle draggers, but usually the kind that couldn't actually knock the skin off a rice pudding.
...says the person who said he wanted to punch Greta Thunberg in the face.

Look at yourself mate. You make some good posts, but don't start attacking your audience.

Were we lucky to get to multiple semis and finals? And second/third place finishes?

There is no doubt questionable decisions have been made, but money has been invested, only for certain players to fall short of what was expected and the team to not turn up when it matters. That, is on the players and the manager, not the board.

You can never forgive or forget the multiple windows without signing anyone, or Saha/Nelson and so on.

But this team has seen investment. Let's see if Paratici works, and works better than the last few years.

We have been impacted by Covid. We have made mistakes with Jose, maybe sacking Poch. NDombele and Lo Celso seem costly errors. It's not as straightforward as "shit team under levy". This "shit team" was also top at Christmas.
Gotta disagree with you. If we scrape 4th this season that we would be brilliant. What do you think is a fair achievement for this season?

I am fully aware of the previous posts. I was interested to know why you think the way you do. From my perspective, it is not straightforward. The behaviour doesn't appear to fit into most ordinary definitions of collusion, which require criminal, illegal or fraudulent activities to cheat others. The behaviour may turn out to be illegal but I don't think that is clear.
The "right" you are talking about is the right to buy oneself out of a contract. I am not sure how the clubs are denying the players rights in that regard. I suppose one could argue that the agreement has the effect of denying (and is designed to) stop a player working and therefore is anti-competitive? Could there also be price-fixing element? I have never done competition law though so don't know about this though.
Why I think the way I do is because the poster spelled out collusion. If the player has got no place to land (ie some club offering a fair market contract) as a result of the clubs making a back room deal then it would be pretty straight forward. Would you buy yourself out of your contract if you had no place to go thereafter in order to make up that money?

Oh, won’t pretend to be an expert. I know bits and pieces on bribery, but there the action has to be active. Again, in this instance, he would have to demonstrate that there is collusion, but City, presumably, are not involved, as they are prepared to take him.

It would be just about the worst thing any high profile athlete could do. If you some league two dobber, no one would give a fuck. But at Kane’s level? He’ll spend the next decade dealing with a never ending law suit.

I’ll read into the MLB stuff. Was it a class action? If so, that’s different.
