Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Were we lucky to get to multiple semis and finals? And second/third place finishes?

There is no doubt questionable decisions have been made, but money has been invested, only for certain players to fall short of what was expected and the team to not turn up when it matters. That, is on the players and the manager, not the board.

You can never forgive or forget the multiple windows without signing anyone, or Saha/Nelson and so on.

But this team has seen investment. Let's see if Paratici works, and works better than the last few years.

We have been impacted by Covid. We have made mistakes with Jose, maybe sacking Poch. NDombele and Lo Celso seem costly errors. It's not as straightforward as "shit team under levy". This "shit team" was also top at Christmas.

Do meter maids for writing tickets? It's their jobs and they are literally the tip of the attacking spear. If they tap them in effectively then great. But the goals are created elsewhere. Don't be taken in by shiny objects on the field when all the true footballing is happening before that. And don't overrate strikers because they score goals. Goals are not an intrinsic quality of a player. They are a function of a well drilled team. Put Harry in WBA under Pulis and he wouldn't have half the goals.
So Harry Kane is a tap-in merchant. Got it.

I wonder why someone who is so easily replaced is worth between 100-150 million pounds.

So not 'OK' then? I was getting that feeling from your posts. Glad you spelled it out with all your qualifications in this post. We've had a year to dwell on it. He wanted to go last year and gave us another year (as reported). But you'd be more 'OK' if he give us another year? And then next year you'd find another reason to want another year. Sounds like the situation with another player which you've forbidden me to speak about.
No.

All I want is time for us to get a very, very well sorted plan in place.

Paratici has been here barely a month!! (Nuno just about a month, he's bracketed because I assume DoF has total control on who's in or out, rendering Nuno redundant, but maybe he has some consultation??) Either way, doing it now spells an absolute cluster fuck for me (driven admittedly as both Nuno and Paratici are unknowns, I don't know enough about them to be confident on abilities and style of play etc).

Planning also includes making out Kane's "not for sale" whilst he really is. Ensuring whoever we go after their clubs aren't going to screw us knowing we are sitting on a pile of Kane dosh. But most of all let's join up some dots, take control of what we are doing, have a plan and execute it.

Surely Harry must know trophies count for nothing at City as they’re a plastic club. He should have stayed another two years and toddled up there at 30 to pick up some easy silverware for his mantelpiece. No issue with that, he wants something (apart from the multi-millionaire lifestyle) to show for his airbag kicking. He really is looking stupid - perhaps too much time with Jose and his win at all costs mentality. This is the cost.
