The reason he’s hated on so much is because our management has been starting him for years and doesn’t seem to notice us being outclassed in midfield ever since he’s played a bigger role.
He’s an ok 3rd cm (preferably he’d be at least the 4th), but the incompetent management has been fine with him in the starting XI (not to mention sissoko).
If you put Messi on 1mil a week over 4 years it would be 208mil.
Kane on 400k over 4 years with 140mil fee would be 223mil.
